In the first individual race, Queens&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Patricia Castro Ortega\u00a0<\/strong>set yet another DII record, this time in the women&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/patricia-castro-ortega-cranks-out-another-ncaa-d2-record-in-400-im\/\" target=\"_blank\">400 IM<\/a>. Queens&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Dion\u00a0<\/strong><b>Dreesens\u00a0<\/b>crushed his own DII record in the men&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dion-dreesens-crushes-ncaa-d2-200-free-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">200 free<\/a>, and Wingate demolished the women&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/wingate-demolishes-womens-400-medley-relay-ncaa-d2-standard\/\" target=\"_blank\">400 medley relay<\/a> record.<\/p>\n<p>The Queens women maintain their lead over Wingate and UC-San Diego. Their time was nearly two seconds faster than their morning swim.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lezlie Bueno Estrada,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Emily Heitchue, Makayla Myers,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ellyson Maleski\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 1:32.00. LIU Post&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Laura Bendfeldt, Seren Jones, Joyce Kwok,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Meghan Brazier\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 1:32.07.<\/p>\n<p>UC-San Diego (1:32.31), Truman Relay<\/h3>\n<p>For the second time today, Tampa set a new DII record. The team of\u00a0<strong>Martin Hammer\u00a0<\/strong>(19.71),\u00a0<strong>Jordan Augier\u00a0<\/strong>(19.15),\u00a0<strong>Runar Borgen\u00a0<\/strong>(19.23), and\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Parker\u00a0<\/strong>(19.18) combined to post a time of 1:17.27, crushing their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tampa-lowers-own-mens-200-yard-free-relay-ncaa-division-ii-record\/\">previous record<\/a> of 1:17.78. They were the only team to have all four swimmers under 20 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Drury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Rzadkowski, Aaron Buckingham, Walter Ross,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Rodrigo\u00a0Careers\u00a0<\/strong>placed second in 1:19.23. Lindenwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Serghei Golban, Michal Szczukowski, Jared Thornton,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ross Watson\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 1:19.73.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Southern (1:19.84), Delta State (1:19.98), Florida Tech (1:20.28), Missouri S&amp;T (1:20.28), and Saint Leo (1:20.47) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<p>Golban&#8217;s leadoff split of 19.18 for Lindenwood crushed his own DII record in the men&#8217;s 50 free. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lindenwoods-serghei-golban-captures-ncaa-d2-50-free-mark\/\">Yesterday<\/a>, the sophomore won the individual 50 free, breaking the previous record by .04. The senior&#8217;s\u00a0time of 4:08.56 was nearly six seconds ahead of the rest of the field and four seconds faster than her morning swim.\u00a0Her\u00a0previous record of 4:09.93 was set last month at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
