The Nashville Speedo Sectional Championships concluded this evening. The men’s and women’s 1500 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, and 200 IM were swam. Dynamo Swim Club won both the men’s and women’s meet.<\/p>\n

Dynamo’s Emma Layton<\/strong>, who was the winner of the 800 free, won the women’s 1500 freestyle. She touched in at a 17.11.27, more than twenty seconds faster than the rest of her competition. Paige Kelly<\/strong>, unattached, came in second place with a 17:31.36 and Abby Grottle<\/strong> of Dynamo came in third place with a 17:36.69.<\/p>\n

In the men’s 1500 Laurel’s Kash Eason<\/b>\u00a0won the event with a 16:06.89. Life Time South East Swim Team’s\u00a0Sadler McKeen<\/strong>\u00a0took silver with a 16:15.96 and Jeffery Durmer\u00a0<\/strong>of Dynamo who\u00a0went a 16:21.59 got bronze.<\/p>\n

Riley Gaines<\/strong> of Excel Aquatics went a 56.56 to win the women’s 100 freestyle, just of the trials cut. Dynamo took silver and bronze with Tristen Ulett<\/strong> touching in at a 57.74 and Elizabeth Bailey<\/strong> finishing with a 58.26.<\/p>\n

Gold’s Michael Arnold<\/strong>, winner of the 100 fly and 50 free, took gold in the men’s 100 free with a 51.56. Eric Strickland<\/strong> of Fowler Family YMCA came in second place with a 51.87 and Lexington Dolphins’\u00a0Zachary Hills<\/strong> finished third (52.08).<\/p>\n

In the women’s 200 backstroke, Evie Bragg<\/strong> of Dynamo won the event with a 2:20.20. In a close second place, SwimMAC Carlolina’s Madison Holland<\/strong> took the silver with a 2:20.74 and for third Raleigh Bentz<\/strong> from Dynamo went a 2:22.67.<\/p>\n

The top two swimmers in the men’s 200 back qualified for Olympic trials. Michael Taylor<\/strong> of Dynamo, winner of the 100 back, took the gold in the event\u00a0with 2:01.44. North Carolina Aquatic Club’s Dylan David<\/strong> went a 2:03.44 for silver and Memphis Tiger Swimming’s Alex Robinson<\/strong> was third with a 2:05.62.<\/p>\n

Dynamo’s Ulett won the women’s 200 IM with a 2:20.25, her second time on the podium today. Grace Oglesby<\/strong> of Cardinal Aquatics was second with a 2:21.94 and Bailey of Dynamo finished one one hundredth behind touching in a 2:21.95 for her second bronze medal of the day.<\/p>\n

William Macmillan<\/strong> of North Carolina Aquatic Club, winner of the 200 fly, finished first in the men’s 200 IM with a 2:05.63, just shy of the Olympic trials cut. \u00a0For his second top three finish of the night, Lexington Dolphins’\u00a0Hils touched in a 2:06.42 for the silver and Dynamo’s Joonas Koski<\/strong> was third with a 2:09.92.<\/p>\n
