Events:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n Curtis Ogren<\/strong> of Stanford delivered a sizzling 3:40.79 to leap to the first-place seed for tonight’s finals. Ogren shaved 8.15 seconds off his entry time of 3:48.94 to claim the top seed. Teammate\u00a0Abrahm DeVine\u00a0<\/strong>returns as the second-place seed with a time of 3:42.57.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Andrew Seliskar\u00a0<\/strong>and Stanford’s\u00a0Max Williamson\u00a0<\/strong>posted matching times from heat four to both grab third after stopping the clock at a 3:43.27.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Connor Green<\/strong> picked up fifth with a time of 3:44.01, while\u00a0Danny Thomson<\/strong> of Stanford turned in a 3:44.73 for sixth.<\/p>\n Ken Takahashi\u00a0<\/strong>of Cal (3:45.79) and\u00a0Patrick Mulcare\u00a0<\/strong>of USC (3:46.24) finished prelims as seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n 100 FLY<\/strong><\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Justin Lynch\u00a0<\/strong>maintained his spot at the top of the qualifier’s list with a 45.62 showing in prelims, shaving a slim .04 seconds off his entry time of 45.66.<\/p>\n USC’s\u00a0Alex Valente<\/strong> delivered a swift 46.05 from heat three to take 1.65 seconds off his entry time of 47.70. Joining Lynch and Valente in the top three is Arizona’s\u00a0Renny Richmond<\/strong>. Richmond stopped the clock at the 46.17 mark to take .76 seconds off his entry time of 46.93.<\/p>\n Stanford’s\u00a0Connor Black<\/strong> and Cal’s\u00a0Long Gutierrez\u00a0<\/strong>posted strikingly similar times for the fourth and fifth place seeds in tonight’s finals race. Black sits just ahead of Gutierrez with a 46.28 over Gutierrez’s 46.29.<\/p>\n Stanford’s\u00a0Andrew Liang\u00a0<\/strong>and Arizona’s\u00a0Tadas Duskinas<\/strong> also kept it close, turning in times .01 seconds apart from separate heats. Liang claimed sixth with a 46.39 from heat three, while Duskinas posted a 46.40 from heat two.<\/p>\n Stanford’s\u00a0Gray Umbach<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a 46.47.<\/p>\n 200 FREE<\/strong><\/p>\n Reed Malone<\/strong> of USC continued to light up the mid-distance freestyle events with a prelims finish of 1:33.55 in the 200 free. Malone, last night’s 500 free winner, succeeded in shaving 1.93 seconds off his prelims time of 1:35.48.<\/p>\n Cal’s\u00a0Long Gutierrez<\/strong>, the first-place seed going into prelims, shifted to second with a time of 1:34.29 from heat six, while teammate\u00a0Trent Williams\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in prelims with a 1:34.65.<\/p>\n Stanford’s\u00a0Liam Egan\u00a0<\/strong>stuck with Williams throughout heat five, finishing with a time of 1:34.75 to earn the fourth-place seed for tonight’s finals.<\/p>\n Arizona’s\u00a0Ricky Maestri<\/strong> turned in a 1:34.81 for fifth, while Utah’s\u00a0Bence Kiraly\u00a0<\/strong>picked up sixth with a 1:34.94.<\/p>\n Kyle Croan\u00a0<\/strong>of Cal (1:35.21) and\u00a0Michael Domagala<\/strong> of USC (1:35.22) return as seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n 100 BREAST<\/strong><\/p>\n USC displayed a strong breaststroke field, posting three of the top eight times. Freshman\u00a0Carsten Vissering\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the top seed with a swift 52.50, shaving .59 seconds off his entry time of 53.09. Teammate\u00a0David Morgan<\/strong> cleared his entry time of 54.75 by 1.69 seconds with a 53.06 for third in tonight’s finals heat.<\/p>\n Arizona’s\u00a0Blair Bish\u00a0<\/strong>delivered a 52.66 to claim the second place seed in tonight’s finals, taking .85 seconds off his entry time of 53.51.<\/p>\n The breaststroke field remained narrow with the fourth-seventh place seeds posting final times .14 seconds apart. Cal’s\u00a0Carson Sand\u00a0<\/strong>nabbed fourth with a 53.14, while\u00a0Gage Crosby<\/strong> of Arizona took fifth with a 53.21.<\/p>\n Connor Hoppe<\/strong> of Cal finished sixth overall in prelims with a 53.24.<\/p>\n ASU’s\u00a0Christian Lorenz\u00a0<\/strong>and USC’s\u00a0Steven Stumph<\/strong> tied for seventh with a time of 53.28.<\/p>\n 100 BACK<\/strong><\/p>\n Ralf Tribuntsov\u00a0<\/strong>of USC rocketed to the first-place seed in the 100 back with a prelims time of 45.30. Tribuntsov’s time took 1.85 seconds off his entry time of 47.15.<\/p>\n Arizona’s\u00a0Chatham Dobbs<\/strong>, the top qualifier going into prelims, posted a time of 45.58 for second and also dropped .79 seconds off his entry time of 46.37.<\/p>\n Stanford teammates\u00a0Ryan Dudzinski<\/strong> and\u00a0Ryan Arata\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed third and fourth in prelims with a 46.01 and a 46.54 respectively.<\/p>\n ASU nabbed the fifth and sixth place seeds with junior teammates\u00a0Richard Bohus\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Reid Elliot\u00a0<\/strong>posting times of 46.92 and 47.19.<\/p>\n There was another tie for seventh with\u00a0Patrick Conaton<\/strong> of Stanford and\u00a0Michael Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>of Cal both finishing with times of 47.22.<\/p>\n 3-METER DIVING<\/strong><\/p>\n The 3-Meter diving event kicked off today with USC’s\u00a0Dash Enos<\/strong> grabbing an early lead. Enos turned in a total of 375.65 points to claim the first place seed for tonight’s final rounds.<\/p>\n Last night’s 1-meter diving champion,\u00a0Bradley Christensen<\/strong> of Stanford, posted the second highest score (357.35) to return as second.<\/p>\n ASU’s\u00a0David Hoffer<\/strong> and Utah’s\u00a0Josiah Purss<\/strong> delivered strikingly similar scores to return as third and fourth respectively.
