The first evening of the 2016 Pac 12 Men’s Championships featured a pair of exciting relays with Arizona and California each picking up a win.<\/p>\n
California ended day 1 in the lead with 72 points, while Arizona (70), USC (68), Stanford (62) were all in the mix in the top four. \u00a0Arizona State (56) and Utah (52) closed out the rest of the scoring.<\/p>\n
200 medley relay<\/strong><\/p>\n Arizona jumped out of the gates with a victory in the sprint medley relay. \u00a0Chatham Dobbs<\/strong> (21.02), Andrew Sovero<\/strong> (23.58), Chad Idensohn<\/strong> (19.95) and Renny Richmond<\/strong> (19.19) claimed the title in 1:23.74.<\/p>\n USC’s Ralf Tribuntsov<\/strong> (21.11), Carsten Vissering<\/strong> (23.69), Alex Valente<\/strong> (20.39) and Kyle Grissom<\/strong> (19.31) raced to second in 1:24.50 with California’s Andrew Seliskar<\/strong> (21.97), Connor Hoppe<\/strong> (23.36), Justin Lynch<\/strong> (20.16) and Tyler Messerschmidt<\/strong> (19.13) putting up a third-place 1:24.61.<\/p>\n Stanford (1:25.10), Arizona State (1:25.35) and Utah (1:27.92) rounded out the six scoring relays with both the Arizona B (1:26.28) and USC B (1:27.24) relays also among the top eight.<\/p>\n
