He was joined in the final by <strong>Ian Rainey<\/strong> and <strong>Cameron Stitt<\/strong> in the A-final. The Wolverines also placed two in the B final and one in the C final. Indiana only had one in the C-final. Other A-finalists were <strong>Jakub Maly<\/strong>, <strong>Daniel Conway<\/strong>, <strong>John Bushman<\/strong>, <strong>Augustus Whiteman<\/strong> and <strong>Josh Anderson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana came right back with two A-finalists in the 100 fly led by freshman <strong>Vinicius Lanza<\/strong> at 45.94. Junior <strong>Max Irwin<\/strong> was eighth at 47.24. Michigan placed two in the A-final with <strong>Evan White<\/strong> and <strong>Aaron Whitaker<\/strong> at third and fourth. <strong>Matt McHugh<\/strong>, <strong>Austin Flager<\/strong>,<strong> Jerzy Twarowski<\/strong> and <strong>Daryl Turner<\/strong> are also in the 100 fly final.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana continued the momentum into the 200 free with <strong>Anze Tavcar<\/strong> of Indiana getting the top seed at 1:33.99 with sophomore <strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong> in third at 1:34.12. It seemed like every time Indiana had a big swim, Michigan would answer with one of their own. <strong>Anders Nielsen<\/strong> (2nd), <strong>Peter Brumm<\/strong> (4th) and <strong>Jack Mangan<\/strong> (5th) made it into the A-final for Michigan. <strong>Brett Pinfold<\/strong>, <strong>Steffen Hillmer<\/strong> and <strong>Cannon Clifton<\/strong> rounded out the top eight in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana will rack up a boat load of points in the 100 breast as <strong>Tanner Kurz<\/strong> and <strong>Ian Finnerty<\/strong> lead the standings with a 52.07 and 52.15 respectively. The Hoosiers also had <strong>Cody Taylor<\/strong> place fifth and <strong>Levi Brock<\/strong> place eighth. Michigan had no A-finalists, but two in the B-final. <strong>Roman Trussov<\/strong>, <strong>Marat Amaltdinov<\/strong>, <strong>Alec Kandt<\/strong> and <strong>DJ MacDonald<\/strong> rounded out the top eight in the 100 breast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matt McHugh<\/strong> of Ohio State is the top seed in the 100 back with a 46.26, slightly ahead of Michigan&#8217;s <strong>Kyle Dudzinski<\/strong> at 46.37. Michigan placed two others in the A-final with Whitaker and<strong> Jason Chen<\/strong> who sit fourth and fifth. Indiana placed Bob Glover in third. <strong>Austin Byrd<\/strong>, <strong>Andrew Appleby<\/strong> and <strong>Daryl Turner<\/strong> will also compete in the championship final tonight. Michigan placed two more in the B-final and Indiana has three in the C-final.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the teams will have a chance to catch Michigan and Indiana in the 3m diving event. <strong>Colin Zheng<\/strong> of Ohio State is the top seed ahead of <strong>Matt Barnard<\/strong> and <strong>Dylan Zoe<\/strong> of Minnesota. <strong>Joey Cifelli<\/strong> (Purdue), <strong>John Crow<\/strong> and <strong>Hector Boissier<\/strong> (Penn State), <strong>Josh Arndt<\/strong> (Indiana) and <strong>Addison Boschult<\/strong> (Iowa) will also compete for the 3m championship.<\/p>\n<p>Friday night will start off with the 200 free relay and Michigan will be looking to win another relay with 50 free champ <strong>Paul Powers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Michigan was 11-10-3 for the ups, mids and downs on Friday and Indiana was 10-3-4. Ohio State also had a good morning with 7-10-5.
