The Crimson, who received votes in the latest CSCAA poll, tallied 466 points on day one. They are followed by No. 23 Princeton (437), Pennsylvania (340), Yale (235), Cornell (224.5), Columbia (218), Brown (191.5) and Dartmouth (161).<\/p>\n<p>The Crimson\u00a0started off the day well with a win, pool record and NCAA automatic qualifying times and the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of\u00a0<strong>Paul O&#8217;Hara, Max Yakubovich, Steven Tan\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sebastian Lutz\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:17.55. Princeton also posted a qualifying time of 1:17.66. The Tigers team consisted of\u00a0<strong>En-Wei Hu-Van Wright, Julian Mackrel, Alexander Lewis\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sandy Bole<\/strong>. Pennsylvania was third, touching in 1:19.49.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chris Swanson\u00a0<\/strong>touched first in the 500-yard freestyle with an Ivy League record. The senior posted an event-winning time of 4:16.13. Yale&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kei Hyogo<\/strong>\u00a0was second in 4:17.66 and<strong>\u00a0Brian Hogan<\/strong>, also a Bulldog, touched third in 4:19.94.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200-yard individual medley, Princeton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Teo D&#8217;Alessandro\u00a0<\/strong>won with a time of 1:44.33. His teammate,\u00a0<strong>Marco Bove<\/strong>, finished a second later in 1:45.66. Pennsylvania&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mark Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a time of 1:45.73.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Hara won an individual event in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 19.59. Wright touched second in 19.63 and Cornell&#8217;s <strong>Jack Brenneman\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a time of 19.67.<\/p>\n<p>Columbia&#8217;s <strong>Jayden Pantel\u00a0<\/strong>won the 1-meter diving competition. Harvard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Pfeifer\u00a0<\/strong>took the silver and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Makarewicz\u00a0<\/strong>of Princeton was third.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers touched first in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of Wright, who swam backstroke, breaststroker <strong>Jack Pohlmann,\u00a0<\/strong>butterflier\u00a0<strong>Ben Schafer\u00a0<\/strong>and Bole, who swam freestyle, posted a time of 3:09.20.
