On the men’s side, St. John’s Prep took first place with 287 points. Westford took second and Acton-Boxborough was third.<\/p>\n
The meet started off in record-setting fashion. Beverly’s 200-yard medley relay team of backstroker\u00a0Kaitlin Harty,\u00a0<\/strong>breaststroker\u00a0Sarah Welch,\u00a0<\/strong>butterflier\u00a0Andrea Higgins\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0freestyler\u00a0Grace Athanas\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:46.39, tying the state record set in 2014.<\/p>\n Acton-Boxborough won the boy’s\u00a0event in 1:35.54. The team consisted of\u00a0backstroker\u00a0Eric Hua,\u00a0<\/strong>breaststroker\u00a0Brian Dai,\u00a0<\/strong>butterflier\u00a0David Chen\u00a0<\/strong>and freestyler\u00a0Corben Miles.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In the 200-yard freestyle, Franklin’s\u00a0Ashley Loomis\u00a0<\/strong>took first place with a time of 1:51.96 in the girl’s race. She was followed by Silver Lake’s\u00a0Madison Milbert\u00a0<\/strong>and Beverly’s\u00a0Nicole Welch.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Westford’s\u00a0Jason Jung\u00a0<\/strong>won the boy’s\u00a0event. He posted a time of 1:40.50 to win by over a second.\u00a0Kyle Pilachowski<\/strong>, his teammate, was second and Reading’s\u00a0Kevin Spear\u00a0<\/strong>took third.<\/p>\n Beverly’s\u00a0Sarah Welch\u00a0<\/strong>won the girl’s 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:03.31. Holliston’s\u00a0Corinne Carbone\u00a0<\/strong>and Westfield’s\u00a0Kelsey Jonstone\u00a0<\/strong>took second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n In the boy’s race,\u00a0Joseph Turk\u00a0<\/strong>of St. John’s took first in 1:49.13. He was followed by Central Catholic’s\u00a0Drew Carbone\u00a0<\/strong>and Andover’s\u00a0Eric Shi.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Katherine O’Shea\u00a0<\/strong>of Concord-Carlisle took first in the girl’s 50-yard freestyle. The senior touched in 23.97. Westford sophomore\u00a0Katherine Pawlak\u00a0<\/strong>was second and Triton’s\u00a0Maggie Summit\u00a0<\/strong>was third.<\/p>\n It was a record-setting showing in the men’s event.\u00a0Corben Miles\u00a0<\/strong>broke his own record with a time of 20.30. He won by over a second. Westford’s\u00a0Jack Koravos\u00a0<\/strong>and Chelmsford’s\u00a0David Cote\u00a0<\/strong>touched in second and third.<\/p>\n In the girl’s 100-yard butterfly, Harty touched first with a time of 54.69, a meet record. Minnechaug’s\u00a0Lauren Quinn\u00a0<\/strong>was second and\u00a0Vivian Nguyen\u00a0<\/strong>of Malden was third.<\/p>\n Central Catholic’s\u00a0Will Panos\u00a0<\/strong>won the boys event with a time of 50.41. Westford’s Karavos and Brookline’s\u00a0Michael Levin\u00a0<\/strong>were second and third.<\/p>\n Sarah Welch picked up another individual win in the women’s 100-yard freestyle. She touched in 51.12, ahead of O’Shea and Summit.\u00a0Miles set another meet record, touching the wall in 45.15 in the boy’s race. Jung and Cote were second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n Loomis dominated the girl’s 500-yard freestyle. She touched in 4:58.50 to win by seven seconds. Lincoln-Sudbury’s\u00a0Courtney Brown\u00a0<\/strong>was second and Nicole Belch took third.<\/p>\n Turk took first place in the boy’s race with a time of 4:36.40. Andover’s\u00a0Adi Arifovic\u00a0<\/strong>and Pilachowski followed.<\/p>\n Westford set a meet record in the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of\u00a0Katherine Pawlak<\/strong>,\u00a0Emily Rudiman, Abby Edison\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ali Kea\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:37.84. Westford set a state record for the boy’s with a time of 1:25.15. The team consisted of Jung,\u00a0Florian Haedicke,\u00a0<\/strong>Pilachowski and Koravos.<\/p>\n Harty set a meet record in the women’s 100-yard backstroke. She posted a time of 52.78 to win by nearly five seconds. Westford’s\u00a0Tiffany Tseng\u00a0<\/strong>took second and Silver Lake’s\u00a0Madison Milbert\u00a0<\/strong>finished in third place.<\/p>\n Central Catholic’s\u00a0Drew Carbone\u00a0<\/strong>won the boy’s race in 50.54. He was followed by Attleboro’s\u00a0River Wright\u00a0<\/strong>and Westford’s\u00a0Jeffrey Yao.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Kelsey Johnstone\u00a0<\/strong>of Westfield was first in the girl’s 100-yard breaststroke. She posted a time of 1:05.50, ahead of Shrewsbury’s\u00a0Erin Kean\u00a0<\/strong>and Monument Mountain’s\u00a0Emma Wilber.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Shi won for the men with a time of 56.76. Attleboro’s\u00a0Dylon Willis\u00a0<\/strong>and Central Catholic’s\u00a0Will Pannos\u00a0<\/strong>took second and third.<\/p>\n Records were set in both the boy’s and girl’s 400-yard freestyle relay.<\/p>\n Sarah Welch, Nicole Welch,\u00a0Andrea Higgins\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kaitlin Harty\u00a0<\/strong>teamed up for Beverly in a meet record time of 3:29.71.
