NELSON Vargas, the former prime minister of sport in Mexico and director of Nelson Aquatica in Mexico City, talks in this SwimmingWorld.TV interview about his high-altitude training center, the upcoming coaches clinic and his memories of the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games.  The interview appears on page 41 of the digital download August issue of <i>Swimming World Magazine<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>The clinic, to be held Oct. 9-11 in Mexico City, corresponds with the 40th anniversary of the 1968 Games, will feature 20 of swimming&#39;s greatest coaches from Canada, Europe, Australia and the United States. Vargas said he plans to extend an invitation to Michael Phelps and other top swimmers, many of who have trained at his high-altitude facility.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico doesn&#39;t have enough coaches in many sports that have the right kind of education to rise through the ranks, which is one reason Vargas wants to have the clinic in Mexico.
