LAC MEMPHREMAGOG, Quebec, August 4. OVER the weekend, Bulgaria's Petar Stoychev and Germany's Stefanie Biller won their respective 34K races at the Canadian stop of the FINA Open Water Grand Prix event.<\/p>\n

Stoychev posted a winning time of 7:27:25, while Egypt's Mazen Aziz finished second in 7:28:10. Australia's Brendan Capell touched third in 7:28:13.<\/p>\n

The win for Stoychev was his eighth at this particular venue. With one more stop left, Stoychev already has five wins in the series. Capell also jumped into the top three in the overall series standings.<\/p>\n

For the women, Biller captured the title in 7:37:59. Teammate Britta Kamrau-Corestein placed second in 7:42:29, while Russia's Natalya Pankina claimed third in 7:53:43.<\/p>\n

Biller moved into strong contention for the overall series win as she has two bronzes and a gold so far. Kamrau-Corestein, meanwhile, have gold, silver and bronze during the Grand Prix so far.<\/p>\n
