BELGRADE, Serbia, August 3. THE final day of the European Junior Championships came to a close with three more meet records.<\/p>\n

Ivan Lendjer of Serbia snatched the meet record in the boys 17-18 100 fly with a time of 52.53. He cleared his own standard of 52.90 set during early round action yesterday. James Doolan of Great Britain finished second in 53.16, while Spain's Alex Villaecija Garcia took third in 54.28.<\/p>\n

Hungary's Beatrix Bordas followed in the girls 15-16 50 fly with a meet-record time of 26.43. That time beat her semifinal record of 26.75 set earlier in the day. Italy's Silvia Di Pietro placed second in 26.83, while Germany's Lena Kalla touched third in 26.86.<\/p>\n

Great Britain's team of Christopher Walker-Hebborn, Doolan, Sliwinski and Bale set a meet record in the boys 17-18 400 medley relay with a time of 3:39.75. That performance eclipsed the 3:41.21 Italy set in 2007.<\/p>\n

In other action, Great Britain went 1-2 in the boys 17-18 400 IM with Roberto Pavoni (4:19.95) and Xavier Mohammed (4:20.74) taking gold and silver. Germany's Jan David Schepers snagged third in 4:22.87.<\/p>\n

In the girls 15-16 100 back, Poland's Alicja Tchorz won in 1:02.98, while Denmark's Pernille Larsen (1:03.29) and Ukraine's Kseniya Grygorenko (1:03.38) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n

Serbia's Caba Siladji captured the boys 17-18 100 breast in a touch-out victory over Germany's Marco Koch, 1:01.91 to 1:01.98. Great Britain's Daniel Silwinski pocketed third in 1:02.45.<\/p>\n

Russia's Ekaterina Baklakova snared the girls 15-16 100 breast in 1:09.65, while Poland's Paulina Zachoszcz (1:10.83) and Israel's Yuliya Banach (1:10.90) finished second and third.<\/p>\n

In a close finish, Great Britain's Robert Bale won the boys 17-18 200 free in 1:49.05, while Russia's Artem Lobuzov (1:49.29) and Italy's Alex Di Giorgio (1:49.33) placed just behind.<\/p>\n

In the next event, Russia's Viktoriya Andreeva beat Great Britain's Sophie Allen, 2:16.09 to 2:16.40, in the girls 15-16 200 IM. Russia's Alexandra Musienko took third in 2:17.24.<\/p>\n

In the boys 17-18 50 free, Italy's Luca Dotto touched first in 22.36. Russia's Oleg Tikhobaev finished second in 22.47, while Romania's Vlad Razvan Caciuc placed third in 22.56.<\/p>\n

Poland's team of Tchorz, Mirela Olczak, Zachoszcz and Katarzyna Wilk won the girls 15-16 400 medley relay in 4:10.96.<\/p>\n
