The prelims of the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 100 free, 200 backstroke and 200 breastroke were swam.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 100 free this morning Florida Southern&#8217;s <strong>Kelsey Gouge<\/strong> touched the wall first with a 50.96. <strong>Natalia Garriock<\/strong> went a 51.12 for the number two seed at finals and Nova Southeastern&#8217;s <strong>Jordan Shows<\/strong> was a close third going a 51.24.<\/p>\n<p>Current SSC record holder, <strong>Thiago Sickert<\/strong> of Nova Southeastern, went a 44.06 in the men&#8217;s 100 free this morning. He will be the top seed tonight and will look to best his SSC record of 43.11. Tampa&#8217;s <strong>Martin Hammer<\/strong> touched second with a 44.36 and Florida Southern&#8217;s <strong>Jesus Martin<\/strong> went a 44.46 for third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lauren Reynolds<\/strong> from Florida Southern had the fastest women&#8217;s 200 back of the morning with a 2:02.64. In a close second was <strong>Emma Wahlstrom<\/strong> of Nova Southeastern with a 2:02.99 and St. Leo&#8217;s <strong>Maftuna Tuhtasinova<\/strong> went a 2:03.40 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Southern&#8217;s <strong>Evan Coleman<\/strong> put up the quickest time in the men&#8217;s 200 back with a 1:47.44. His teammate <strong>Marco Palacios<\/strong> came in third this morning with a 1:50.02 and Nova Southeastern&#8217;s <strong>Marco Aldabe<\/strong> touched second (1:49.11).<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 200 breastroke St. Leo&#8217;s <strong>Nicole Weber<\/strong> has the fastest time of the morning with a 2:16.35. Close behind was <strong>Malin Westman<\/strong> from Nova Southeastern with a 2:16.73 and third this morning was <strong>Rebecca Matthews<\/strong> from Lynn (2:18.61). Matthews is the current SSC and NCAA record holder in the event with a 2:10.77.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anton Lobanov<\/strong> of Nova Southeastern finished first in the men&#8217;s 200 breast this morning with a 1:58.49. Lobanov is the current NCAA and SSC record holder in the event with a 1:51.71. Florida Southern came in with the second and third fastest times of the morning with <strong>Luis Jasso<\/strong> (1:59.29) and <strong>Sean Kim<\/strong> (1:59.96).<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 1650 freestyle will be swam as a finals only event.
