A few more meet records fell during the U.S. Open held in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Klueh of Longhorn clocked a time of 3:47.62 to break the men&#39;s 400 free standard.  He cleared the 3:49.50 set by Grant Hackett back in 1999.  Matt Patton of Club Wolverine finished second in 3:50.27, while Chad La Tourette of Mission Viejo took third in 3:51.38.<\/p>\n<p>Mary DeScenza of Athens Bulldog followed with a readout of 58.30 in the women&#39;s 100 fly.  That performance wiped out the 58.36 set by Jenny Thompson in 1999.  Kate Dwelley of Terrapins touched second in 59.29, while Amanda Sims of California (59.50) and Lauren Harrington, 15, of Memphis Tiger (59.52) placed third and fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Kohei Kawamoto of Brophy East finished first in 51.71 to break the men&#39;s 100 fly record.  Mike Mintenko set the previous standard of 52.44 in 2002.  Chris Brady of Club Wolverine took second in 52.45 with Bobby Bollier of Kansas City Blazers wound up third in 52.57.<\/p>\n<p>In other action, Kelsey Ditto of Athens Bulldog won the women&#39;s 400 free in 4:08.91 with Kristen Heiss of Aggie finishing second in 4:09.25.  Samantha Shellem, 16, of La Mirada Armada placed third in 4:13.69.<\/p>\n<p>Longhorn&#39;s Sean Patton, Ryan Verlatti, Bryan Collins and Klueh won the men&#39;s 800 freestyle relay in 7:20.65.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MINNEAPILIS, Minnesota, July 31.
