She was followed by <strong>Rodriguez Fernanda<\/strong> of David Douglas who was second in 1:04.53, while <strong>Claire Bacon-Brenes<\/strong> of Grant was third in 1:04.66.<\/p>\n<p>Pinger was also a part of the West Linn record breaking relay in the 200 medley. The team of <strong>Laura Laderoute<\/strong> (25.58) Pinger (28.02) <strong>Katelyn Laderoute<\/strong> (26.16) and <strong>Kylie Norris<\/strong> (25.46) were first in a time of 1:45.22 to upend the OSAA record set in 2010 by Lakeridge. They were followed by Jesuit, who were also under the old record in a time of 1:45.74, while Lakeridge was third in 1:48.13.<\/p>\n<p>A record was also set in the 400 free relay with the team <strong>Lindsey Swail<\/strong> (51.95) <strong>Angie Lindsay<\/strong> (53.87) <strong>Kate Westlake<\/strong> (52.65) and <strong>Alayna Connor<\/strong> (49.99) from Sunset High School coming together for a time of 3:28.46 to upend Century&#8217;s record set in 2015. They were followed by Jesuit, whose team was also under the old record in a time of 3:28.59, and Lake Oswego who posted a time of 3:35.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keaton Blovad<\/strong> of Lakeridge defended her top seed in both the 200 IM and 100 back, after setting the OSAA record in both during prelims. In the 200 IM won in a time of 2:00.13, followed by <strong>Laura Laderoute<\/strong> of West Linn who second in 2:02.95, and <strong>Katelyn Laderoute<\/strong> of West Linn in 2:04.87. In the 100 back, Blovad won in a time of 53.89, followed by <strong>Lainey Visscher<\/strong> of Clackamas who was second in 54.91, while <strong>Laura Laderoute<\/strong> was third in 55.20.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 100 free, \u00a0<strong>Jamie Stone<\/strong> of Centennial nabbed the gold in a record setting time. She beat out her own record from 2015 of 49.95, winning in a time of 49.46. Pinger was also under the old record, taking second in 49.93, while <strong>Alayna Connor<\/strong> of Sunset was third in 50.72. Stone also won the 50 in 23.07.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 100 breast, <strong>Brian Frazier<\/strong> of Oregon City set the OSAA record which was previously a 56.22 set\u00a0by <strong>Tommy Brewer<\/strong> in 2015. Frazier swam a time of 55.40 to claim the gold, while <strong>Sam Harguial<\/strong> of Grant was second in 56.80. <strong>Anthony Nosack<\/strong> of Jesuit was third in 57.01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sid Farber<\/strong>\u00a0of Lincoln claimed two event titles, nabbing the 50 free title in a time of 20.66 ahead of <strong>Micah Masei<\/strong> (21.38) and <strong>Tyler Soo<\/strong> (21.55). In the 100 free, despite dealing with goggle difficulties, Farber claimed the victory in a time of 46.54, ahead of <strong>Ethan Luc<\/strong>\u00a0of Westview who posted a time of 47.29, and <strong>Reilly Goddard<\/strong>\u00a0of Jesuit who was 47.83.<\/p>\n<p>Top 5 Women&#8217;s Teams:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Jesuit 187<\/li>\n<li>Lakeridge 138<\/li>\n<li>Sunset 123<\/li>\n<li>West Linn 115<\/li>\n<li>Lake Oswego 105<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Top 5 Men&#8217;s Teams:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Jesuit 239<\/li>\n<li>McMinnville 98<\/li>\n<li>Sunset 91<\/li>\n<li>Lake Oswego 90<\/li>\n<li>West Salem 88<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>5A Results<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Merrit Allenn<\/strong> helped lead the Summit women to a class 5A State Championship title with two wins in the 200 free, and 100 fly along with aiding the 400 free relay in a win. Allen won the 200 free in 1:52.40 to top <strong>Dhani Freeland<\/strong> of Hood River Valley who was second in 1:53.74.<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 fly, Allen&#8217;s winning time was a 55.86, setting a new 5A record and out touching <strong>Molly Beamer<\/strong> by three seconds, who was second in 58.76.<\/p>\n<p>Summit&#8217;s win in the 400 free relay with the team of <strong>Alison Epple\u00a0<\/strong>(53.20) <strong>Lily Chrisman<\/strong> (55.80) <strong>Mikayla Grover<\/strong> (55.20) and Allen (51.56) putting together a time of 3:35.76. This swim topped Bend&#8217;s effort of 3:36.00 who claimed second, while Crescent Valley was third in 3:45.77.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paul Rogers<\/strong> helped pace Bend on the men&#8217;s side to their class 5A win with championships in the 200 IM and 500 free. Roger&#8217;s threw down a 1:53.55 in the 200 IM to outdo <strong>Taj Mercer<\/strong> of Summit who claimed second, and <strong>Shane Williams<\/strong> of Springfield was third in 2:00.14.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers also posted a 4:39.90 in the 500 free to claim the victory over teammate <strong>Christian Offenhauser<\/strong> who was second in 4:41.81, and <strong>Chaz Stafford<\/strong> of Springfield who was third in 4:49.71.<\/p>\n<p>Bend was also victorious in the 400 free, and 200 free relays. The team of Rogers (21.84) Offenhauser (23.14) Garrett Ross (22.82) and Benjamin Brockman (22.32) won the 200 free relay in a time of 1:30.12, just out touching Hillsboro who was second in 1:30.53. Pendleton claimed the bronze in 1:32.71.<\/p>\n<p>In the 400 free relay, Bend won the event in 3:15.81 with the team of Brockman (48.00) <strong>Kurt Felder<\/strong> (50.14) Offenhauser (50.27) and Rogers (47.40). Hillsboro was second in 3:19.87, while Springfield was third in 3:20.46.<\/p>\n<p>Top 5 Women&#8217;s Teams:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Summit 72<\/li>\n<li>Bend 71<\/li>\n<li>Mountain View 55<\/li>\n<li>Crescent Valley 35<\/li>\n<li>Hillsboro 17<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Top 5 Men&#8217;s Teams:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bend 72<\/li>\n<li>Springfield 48<\/li>\n<li>Hillsboro 37<\/li>\n<li>Liberty 36<\/li>\n<li>Lebanon 22<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>4A\/3\/2A\/1A Results<\/h2>\n<p>The Sweet Home women and La Grande men took home the 4A\/3A\/2A\/1A State Championship in a day that was full of record-breaking swims.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 free relay was an exciting event, with both the men and women taking down the class records. The women&#8217;s team of Sweet Home claimed the event in 1:41.28 with the team of <strong>Lauren Yon<\/strong> (24.87) <strong>Jessica Coats<\/strong> (25.96) <strong>Makayla Nelson<\/strong> (25.47) and <strong>Lucie Davis<\/strong> (24.98) outdoing the previous meet record which was set in 2015. They were followed by Marshfield who was second in 1:42.98, and North Bend who was third in 1:43.31.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Caitlin Gabel&#8217;s team of <strong>Ethan Hanson<\/strong> (22.63)<strong> Sid Pai<\/strong> (22.76) <strong>Nate McFaul<\/strong> (22.58) and <strong>Tristan Furnary<\/strong> (21.04) won, beating out the record they set yesterday with a new class record of 1:29.01. Sweet Home followed in 1:32.70, while North Marion was third in 1:32.91.<\/p>\n<p>Caitlin Gabel also set a class record in the men&#8217;s 200 medley relay, with the team of Hanson (24.99) Furnary (26.80) McFaul (23.64) and Pai (22.61) swimming a time of 1:38.04. La Grande was second in 1:43.09, while Salem Academy was third in 1:44.22.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noah Norris<\/strong> of North Marion won the men&#8217;s 100 free in a record breaking time, outswimming <strong>Colin Eaton&#8217;s<\/strong> time of 45.35 from 2012. Norris posted a 45.24, which outdid Furnary&#8217;s time of 45.37 in which he claimed second. <strong>Josh Ebel<\/strong>\u00a0of La Grande was third in 49.09.<\/p>\n<p>On the women&#8217;s side, <strong>Vianka Hoyer<\/strong> claimed two individual victories in the 50 free (24.57) and 100 fly (57.29).<\/p>\n<p>In the final event of the meet, La Grande&#8217;s won the men&#8217;s 400 free relay in a class record time. La Grande&#8217;s team of <strong>Garren Dutto<\/strong> (49.68) <strong>Keegan Dutto<\/strong> (51.14) <strong>Josh Ebel<\/strong> (48.03) and <strong>Bryce Ebel<\/strong> (46.64) were first in 3:15.49.
