The Ephs raised their point total to 1,263.5 through two days of competition. Connecticut College sits in second with 1,083 points, followed by Tufts University (1,003.5), Amherst College (957) and Bates College (665).<\/p>\n<p>Williams opened Saturday evening\u2019s championship session with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as <strong>Benjamin Lin<\/strong>, <strong>Jake Tamposi<\/strong>, <strong>Timothy Kostolansky<\/strong>, and <strong>John Hammond<\/strong> took the title with a time of 1:29.31, establishing a new pool record as well as earning an NCAA provisional-qualifying time. The night continued as Middlebury\u2019s<strong>Michael McGean<\/strong> dominated the 1,000-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 9:32.36.<\/p>\n<p>Connecticut College&#8217;s <strong>Alan Pite<\/strong> won the first individual event of the evening for the Camels with an NCAA provisional time of 3:57.82 in the 400-yard individual medley. Tufts\u2019 <strong>Kingsley Bowen<\/strong> pulled out a win in the 100-yard butterfly, when he swam an NCAA provisional time of 49.29 seconds. <strong>Karl Sarier<\/strong> of Bowdoin took first place in the 200-yard freestyle with an NCAA provisional time of 1:39.70.<\/p>\n<p>Tamposi won his second event in as many days when he swam to victory in the 100-yard breaststroke, setting a new pool record and earning an NCAA provisional time of 55.50 seconds. The win marked the third consecutive year that Tamposi won the event.
