The senior won in 4:21.77, nearly nine seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Her time clipped her own meet and conference record she set last year.<\/p>\n<p>MIT freshman\u00a0<strong>Addie Chambers\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 4:30.03, while Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Callie Phillips<\/strong> finished third in 4:34.71. Clark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Karina Urquhart<\/strong> won the B-Final in 4:42.24.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h3>\n<p>MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brandon McKenzie\u00a0<\/strong>won his second event of the meet,\u00a0sweeping both IM events. The freshman won the 400 in 4:00.24, over two seconds ahead of the runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Seth MacDonald\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 4:02.34 after dropping eight seconds from his prelims swim. Third went to MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Graves\u00a0<\/strong>in 4:02.65 and Coast Guard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Rowe\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to a 4:08.59 to take the B-Final.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>Three swimmers were under 57 seconds, but the title ultimately went to Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Delaney\u00a0Dyjak.\u00a0<\/strong>The junior won in 56.39.<\/p>\n<p>Wellesley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dorothy Ren\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 56.60 and\u00a0MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Margaret Guo<\/strong> was third in 56.97. Ren&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Jessie Feng\u00a0<\/strong>took the B-Final in 59.60.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 fly was also close with six\u00a0swimmers under 50 seconds.\u00a0WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Smallwood\u00a0<\/strong>was victorious, winning in 49.30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke Schlueter<\/strong> of MIT was second in 49.43 while WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Bauer<\/strong> was a close third in 49.45. Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kent Parsons\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the B-Final in 51.44.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Not too long after taking third in the 400 IM, Springfield&#8217;s Phillips went on to claim the 200 free. The senior won in 1:52.70.<\/p>\n<p>Clark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Melissa Orzechowski\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 1:53.07 while Coast Guard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kristen Young\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:53.78. MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mary\u00a0Thielking\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the B-Final in 1:54.62.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p>WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Bauer<\/strong>\u00a0cruised to the win in the men&#8217;s 200 free, over two seconds ahead of the rest of the field. The junior finished in 1:38.92, breaking the meet record of 1:39.34 set back in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>WPI went 1-2 in the event with\u00a0<strong>Nathan Hughes<\/strong> taking second in 1:41.10. MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Tomazin\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:41.84 while his teammate\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Bogle<\/strong> claimed the B-Final in 1:43.57.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast<\/h3>\n<p>After breaking her own meet record in the 100 breast this morning,\u00a0Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Medeiros<\/strong>\u00a0set a new mark in the meet and conference record at night. The junior won the race by over one second in 1:02.68.<\/p>\n<p>MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Chen\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 1:03.98 as Medeiros&#8217; teammate\u00a0<strong>Alyssa Carle<\/strong> was third in 1:04.48. WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alyssa Grant<\/strong> narrowly won the B-Final in 1:08.55.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast<\/h3>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 breast was another close race, as the top four swimmers were all well under 57 seconds.\u00a0<strong>Chasse Sodemann\u00a0<\/strong>came out on top, winning in 56.14.<\/p>\n<p>MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Chiu\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 56.32 and Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Normoyle\u00a0<\/strong>touched third in 56.42. Wheaton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samuel Zarfos\u00a0<\/strong>won the B-Final in 59.77.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Veronika Jedryka\u00a0<\/strong>won the race in 55.77 en route to breaking the meet record of 56.17 set in 2012.\u00a0The junior was just off her own conference record of 55.42.<\/p>\n<p>Wellesley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dorothy Ren<\/strong> and MIT&#8217;s <strong>Catherine Wu <\/strong>tied for\u00a0second in 57.36. Wheaton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelley Baylis<\/strong> won the B-Final in 59.80.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>After breaking the meet record earlier this morning, MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Smith<\/strong> cruised to the win tonight in 49.66.<\/p>\n<p>Smith&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Bo Mattix<\/strong> was second in 50.09. WPI&#8217;s J. Bauer was third in 50.62 and his teammate\u00a0<strong>Matt Houghton<\/strong> took the B-Final in 52.57.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 3m Diving<\/h3>\n<p>Freshmen\u00a0claimed the top three spots of the men&#8217;s 3m diving event. MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elliot Forde\u00a0<\/strong>won with a score of 491.75 with teammate\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Sands<\/strong> taking second with 464.85. Coast Guard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Will French<\/strong> was third with 435.00.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>MIT&#8217;s relay team of C. Wu (26.19), Chen (29.27), Guo (25.09), and <strong>Amanda Wu\u00a0<\/strong>(23.33) won the final women&#8217;s event of the night. Their time of 1:43.88 clipped the old meet and conference record set in 2013 by .01.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>WPI&#8217;s relay team of J. Bauer (23.42),\u00a0<strong>Andrew Kelleher\u00a0<\/strong>(25.28), Smallwood (22.22), and A. Bauer (19.97) won the final race of the evening.
