Day three of the 2016 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships saw exciting action.\u00a0Four swims broke\u00a0and one matched Patriot League records, and six swims broke and two tied meet records. One swim set a new pool record.<\/p>\n

Women’s 400 IM<\/h3>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Kaitlin O’Reilly\u00a0<\/strong>started the night off with a win in the 400 IM, leading from start to finish. The sophomore won the race in 4:16.74.<\/p>\n

O’Reilly’s teammate\u00a0Jenny Smith<\/strong> took second in 4:18.90 and Army’s\u00a0Jessica Burkett\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 4:22.76.\u00a0Bucknell’s\u00a0Alanna Nawrocki\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the B-Final in 4:23.26.<\/p>\n

Men’s 400 IM<\/h3>\n

Bucknell’s\u00a0Chris Devlin\u00a0<\/strong>took over four seconds off his prelims time to win the event in 3:49.04. His time broke the league and meet record of 3:49.57 Boston’s\u00a0Garrett Chin\u00a0<\/strong>set this morning.<\/p>\n

Chin finished second in 3:49.76 and Navy’s\u00a0Brayden Lauffer<\/strong> took third in 3:50.49. Navy’s\u00a0Kenneth Parker<\/strong> won the B-Final in 3:56.16.<\/p>\n

Women’s 100 Fly<\/h3>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Rachael Dudley\u00a0<\/strong>won the event in 53.95, the only swimmer to go under 54 seconds.<\/p>\n

Army’s\u00a0Molly Mucciarone\u00a0<\/strong>claimed second in 54.31, and Boston’s\u00a0Julimar Avila<\/strong> finished third in 54.60. Lehigh’s\u00a0Kelly Carroll\u00a0<\/strong>and Bucknell’s\u00a0Lindsay Smalec<\/strong> tied for ninth in the B-Final in 55.87.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Fly<\/h3>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Jonathan Debaugh\u00a0<\/strong>knocked off over one second from his time this morning to win the 100 fly in 47.01. The senior broke the league and meet record of 47.33 set in 2009.<\/p>\n

Debaugh’s teammate\u00a0Ryan Bailey<\/strong> finished second in 47.42 and Army’s\u00a0Jason Rodriquez\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 47.94. Navy’s\u00a0Zachary Piedt<\/strong> claimed the B-Final in 48.60.<\/p>\n

Women’s 200 Free<\/h3>\n

Navy showed their depth as a team by sweeping the top three spots in the women’s 200 free. Junior\u00a0Kenzie Margroum\u00a0<\/strong>won in 1:45.87, breaking the league and meet record set back in 2010.<\/p>\n

Maddie Thompson\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 1:47.65 and\u00a0Casey Lawson<\/strong> was third in 1:48.67.\u00a0Lehigh’s\u00a0Courtney\u00a0Ferreira\u00a0<\/strong>won the B-Final in 1:50.23.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Free<\/h3>\n

Navy continued their dominance, this time going 1-2-3 in the men’s 200 free. Senior\u00a0Thomas Duvall\u00a0<\/strong>won in 1:35.20, tying his own league and meet record he set last year.<\/p>\n

Noah Martin\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:36.29 and\u00a0Joseph Jaime\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:36.74. Boston’s\u00a0Trevor Winans\u00a0<\/strong>won the B-Final in 1:38.60.<\/p>\n

Women’s 100 Breast<\/h3>\n

Navy yet again swept the top three spots in the 100 breast.\u00a0Lauren Barber<\/strong> set a new meet record en route to winning in 1:00.77.<\/p>\n

Ellen Bradford\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 1:01.83 and\u00a0Hannah Gillcrist\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:01.86.\u00a0Boston’s\u00a0Erin Nabney\u00a0<\/strong>took the B-Final in 1:04.79.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Breast<\/h3>\n

Loyola’s\u00a0Ben Cono<\/strong> took the title in the men’s 100 breast, finishing in 52.92. His time tied the current meet record set in 2014.<\/p>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Marlin Brutkiewicz\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 53.01 and Lafayette’s\u00a0Greg Grewal\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 53.55. Navy’s\u00a0Ryan Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>won the B-Final in 55.70.<\/p>\n

Women’s 100 Back<\/h3>\n

Bucknell’s\u00a0Emma Levendoski\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the field, winning in 53.95. She was just off her own meet record set last year.<\/p>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Elizabeth Graeff\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 55.08 while\u00a0Bucknell’s\u00a0Rachel Perry\u00a0<\/strong>touched third in 55.31. Buckle’s\u00a0Julie Byrne\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the B-Final in 56.20.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Back<\/h3>\n

Navy won their third event of the evening as\u00a0David Carlson\u00a0<\/strong>took first in 47.88.<\/p>\n

Army’s\u00a0Josh Sembrano\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 48.59 and Bucknell’s\u00a0Jack Robinson\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 48.70. Colgate’s\u00a0Des Cairns\u00a0<\/strong>took the B-Final in 51.15.<\/p>\n

Men’s 1m Diving<\/h3>\n

Navy proved their dominance on the boards in addition to the pool by going 1-2-3 in the men’s 1m diving event.\u00a0Nate Belch<\/strong> posted a score of 327.50 for the win.\u00a0Joe Kaszubowski\u00a0<\/strong>was second with 321.40 and\u00a0Frank Love\u00a0<\/strong>was third with 298.60.<\/p>\n

Women’s 200 Free Relay<\/h3>\n

Navy’s team of\u00a0Thompson (22.95), Hannah Briant<\/strong> (22.89),\u00a0Ally Warnimont\u00a0<\/strong>(22.78), and Margroum (22.32) won in 1:30.94, breaking Colgate’s league and meet record from 2009. The time also broke the pool record set by Navy in 2010.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Free Relay<\/h3>\n

Navy’s\u00a0Jaime (20.22),\u00a0Bjorn Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(19.83), Duvall (19.43), and\u00a0Michael Bundas\u00a0<\/strong>(19.66) won in 1:19.14. The time broke their own meet record set in 2014.<\/p>\n
