This is one of the largest conferences and has D1, D2 and D3 teams participating. Last year the men&#8217;s College of New Jersey team won Championship title and Long island University-Post won the meet for the women.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>While LIU Post has been the reigning champion the past couple of seasons, The University of Bridgeport looks to be some touch competition for the women&#8217; only team. In the 200 free relay, Bridgeport is seeded with a 1:33.58 which is ahead of the METS&#8217;s record (1:33.69) held by LIU Post who is entered in a close second (1:33.83).<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 50 free, current METS record holder, <strong>Tatiana\u00a0Shepel<\/strong> from Bridgeport, is seeded first with a 23.35. She will be looking to best her record of 23.04 and defend her first place spot this weekend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Crochet<\/strong> and Southern Connecticut are back from NE-10s and competing in the METS Championships as well. Crochet is seeded first in the women&#8217;s 200 freestyle with a 1:51.19. She is also seeded second in the 50 free, only only one hundredth of a second behind Shepel.<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 butterfly LIU Post&#8217;s <strong>Joyce\u00a0Kwok<\/strong> is entered first with a 2:00.43. She is currently has the METS record in the event with a 1:58.91. Joyce also is seeded with the fastest times in the 200 IM (2:04.72) and 100 butterfly (53.2).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>In both the 200 and 400 IM, Southern Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Raymond Cswerko<\/strong>, is entered with a the fastest time, with a 1:48.14 in the 200 and a 3:58.01 in the 400. He is the current METS recorder holder in both events with a 1:46.95 in the 200 and a 3:51.83.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Connecticut&#8217;s Louis Geist is seeded first in both the men&#8217;s 500 (4:35.56) and 1650 (16:05.10) freestyle. In the 50 and 100 freestyle events it will be a toss up between Southern Connecticut&#8217;s <strong>Brendan Murphy<\/strong> and Rowan&#8217;s<strong> Jesse Novak<\/strong>. The two are tied with a 45.16, in the 100 freestyle.
