The men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke were swum.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 400 IM,\u00a0<strong>Maddy Huttner<\/strong> of UC San Diego had the fastest time of the morning going a 4:25.90. Fresno Pacific&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bavindeep Basra<\/strong> touched the wall second with a 4:27.00, which this time she broke her own school record of 4:28.31. Going the third fastest time this morning was UC San Diego&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Miller<\/strong> with a 4:28.13.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Belova<\/strong> of Fresno Pacific touched the wall first this morning in the women&#8217;s 100 butterfly with a 55.06. With this time she broke her own Fresno Pacific school record of 55.88. UC San Diego had the second and third fastest times with\u00a0<strong>Dari Watkins\u00a0<\/strong>going a 55.34 for second and\u00a0<strong>Naomi Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>was right behind for the third fastest time of 55.39.<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 freestyle this morning<strong> Natalie Tang<\/strong> of UC San Diego came in with the fastest time of 1:49.26. Her teammates,\u00a0<strong>Dari Watkins\u00a0<\/strong>finished in second (1:49.81) and <strong>Colleen Daley<\/strong> touched third in a 1:51.02.<\/p>\n<p>Pepperdine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Mosbaugh <\/strong>had the fastest time of the morning in the women&#8217;s 100 breast with a 1:03.13. She\u00a0out touched UC San Diego&#8217;s <strong>Angie Phetbenjakul<\/strong> who came in second (1:03.14) by one one hundredth of a second. <strong>Lily Maxfield<\/strong> touched third for UC San Diego with a 1:04.10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olga Melnikova<\/strong> went a 57.06 for the fastest 100 back time of the morning. CSEB&#8217;s <strong>Mariam Lowe<\/strong> touched in second (57.27) and UC San Diego&#8217;s <strong>Julia Toronczak<\/strong> came in third (57.42).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>UC San Diego men had the top four fastest times in the 400 IM this morning.\u00a0<strong>Kevin Fink<\/strong> touched first with a 3:54.96. Teammates\u00a0<strong>Zach Yong<\/strong> (3:55.24) and\u00a0<strong>Kyle Nadler\u00a0<\/strong>(3:59.87) came in second and third this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Six of the top eight times this morning in the men&#8217;s 100 butterfly.\u00a0<strong>Kevin Wyler\u00a0<\/strong>has the fastest time with a 46.97, <strong>Garrett Tse<\/strong> came in second with a 48.97 and\u00a0<strong>Ivan Garin\u00a0<\/strong>touched the wall third with a 49.25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Cohn<\/strong>\u00a0of UC San Diego went a 1:38.22 in the men&#8217;s 200 free putting up the fastest time of the morning.\u00a0<strong>Wesley Coles<\/strong> touched second in a 1:39.07 for Fresno Pacific and UC San Diego&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Leung\u00a0<\/strong>came in a close third (1:39.17).<\/p>\n<p>Fresno Pacific&#8217;s <strong>Maksim Shcherbakov<\/strong> placed first this morning in the men&#8217;s 100 breaststroke with a 53.84. <strong>Zach Yong<\/strong> of UC San Diego came in second with a 56.23 and his teammate\u00a0<strong>AJ Zavala\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (57.27).<\/p>\n<p>It was a close race in the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke\u00a0this morning. UC San Diego&#8217;s <strong>Julian Jacobs<\/strong> had the fastest time of the morning with a 49.36. <strong>CJ Pais<\/strong> went a 49.79 to be seeded second going into tonight and <strong>Luka Barisic<\/strong> got third (49.94).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Delaney Lanker, Swimming World College Intern Day three of the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships began this morning.
