The final day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships began this morning at Colorado Mesa University. The prelims of the men’s and women’s 100 free, 200 back and 200 breast were swam. The women’s 200 backstroke RMAC record was broken this morning.<\/p>\n

In the women’s 100 freestyle Cal Baptist’s Patricia Hapsari<\/strong> touched the wall first with a 51.18. Western State’s Randi Yarnell<\/strong> was right behind her with a 51.43 and Carrie Kralovec<\/strong> from the Colorado School of Mines came in third this morning (52.20).<\/p>\n

Lindenwood’s Serghi Golban<\/strong> came in first this morning in the men’s 100 freestyle with a 45.05. Cal Baptist came in with the second and third fastest times of the morning. Alexis Ohmar<\/strong> touched second in a 45.39 and his teammate\u00a0Bernardo Valentim\u00a0<\/strong>swum into third place with a 45.81.<\/p>\n

Mary Saiz<\/strong> of Colorado Mesa had the fastest time of the morning in the women’s 200 backstroke with a 1:59.59. With this time Saiz broke the 2014 RMAC record of 2:00.74. Lindenwood’s Alecia McGillivray<\/strong> came in second with a 2:05.20 and right behind her, Cal Baptist’s Andrea Laliena<\/strong> touched the wall third with a 2:05.49.<\/p>\n

Cal Baptist’s Joshua Hanson<\/strong> touched the wall first thins morning in the men’s 200 backstroke with the time of 1:47.90. Justin Dearden<\/strong> came in second (1:48.68) for the Colorado School of Mines and Mesa’s Justin Hastings<\/strong> finished third with a 1:49.70.<\/p>\n

In the women’s 200 breastroke, Alena Rumiantceva<\/strong> of Cal Baptist and last night’s winner of the 100 breast, got her hand on the wall first in a 2:20.07. Lindenwood’s Ewa Dymarek<\/strong> came in second with a 2:20.75 and Cal Baptist’s Robin Smallwood<\/strong> finished third (2:22.13).<\/p>\n

Mesa’s Josh Bedford<\/strong> came in with the top time this morning in the men’s 200 breastroke with a 2:03.26. His teammate Ryan Gifford<\/strong> came in second this morning with a 2:04.24 and Lindenwood’s Mateusz Pacholczyk<\/strong> finished third with a 2:04.45<\/p>\n

The men’s and women’s 1650 freestyle will begin laster today as a finals only event.<\/p>\n
