The Great Lakes Valley Athletic Conference Championships day three finals were last night in\u00a0Crawfordsville, Ind.<\/p>\n

To start the night off Drury took the gold and silver in the women’s 500 free. Sarah Pullen<\/strong>, who also won the1000 free, came in first with the time of 4:54.22. Her teammate Megan Ouhl<\/strong> came in second with a 4:58.68 and Truman’s Emma Barnett<\/strong> finished in a 4:59.55 for third place.<\/p>\n

Missouri S&T’s Jonathan Glaser<\/strong> won the men’s 500 freestyle with a 4:25.75. Drury’s Alex Reinbrecht<\/strong> touched the wall second with a 4:26.08 and close behind him was UINDY’s Vitor Botana<\/strong> who finished third for the bronze in a 4:26.25.<\/p>\n

In the women’s 100 backstroke Truman State swept the podium. Evyn Spencer<\/strong> won the event with a 54.95. Her teammates Alison Strickler<\/strong> came in second (56.00) and Hannah Nicks<\/strong> came in third with a 56.39.<\/p>\n

Missouri-SL’s Diogo Dias<\/strong> won the men’s 100 backstroke with a 49.33. Drury took second and third in the event with Ramiro Olivares<\/strong> coming in at a 49.40 for the silver and Aidan Glynn<\/strong> touching the wall with a 49.90 for the bronze.<\/p>\n

Zuzanna Chwadeczko<\/strong> won the women’s 100 breastroke with a 1:02.33. UINDY came in second and third in the event. Michelle Mikaelsson<\/strong> took silver with\u00a0with a 1:04.62 and her teammate Karolina Szymaszek<\/strong> came in for a close third with a 1:04.74.<\/p>\n

Missouri S&T’s Miguel Chavez<\/strong> won\u00a0the men’s 100 breastroke tonight\u00a0with a 54.30. With this time Chavez broke the previous GLVC record of 54.40. Bartosz Zarzecki<\/strong> touched the wall second with a 54.87 and Drury’s Andrea Bazzoli<\/strong> took bronze (54.90).<\/p>\n

Drury’s Gretchen Stein<\/strong>, who also won the 400 IM,\u00a0won the women’s 200 butterfly with a 2:04.21.\u00a0William Jewell’s Haley Ramsey<\/strong> finished right behind Stein for second in a 2:04.70 and\u00a0Ashley Sturman<\/strong> from Drury finished in third with a 2:05.60.<\/p>\n

In the men’s 200 butterfly, Truman’s Will Shanel<\/strong> won the event in a 1:47.27. With this time he broke the previous GLVC record of 1:47.80. Caleb Hathaway<\/strong> of Missouri S&T came in second with a 1:49.25. David Wong<\/strong> of Drury, came in third with a 1:50.53. (1:50.16).<\/p>\n

In the women’s 800 freestyle relay Truman State took the win. Their team of Spencer (1:53.12), Jasmine Roghair<\/strong> (1:53.39), Emma Barnett<\/strong> (1:53.61) and Nikki Sisson<\/strong> (1:49.14) went a 7:29.26 for the win. Drury came in second (7:31.68) with the team of Megan Ouhl<\/strong> (1:53.41), Gretchen Stein<\/strong> (1:52.31), Laura Brasier<\/strong> (1:55.22) and Sarah Pullen<\/strong> (1:50.74). William Jewell went a 7:39.99 for third with Maddie Allen<\/strong> (1:56.16), Paige Meredith<\/strong> (1:54.31), Shea Marcinski<\/strong> (1:53.90) and Alex Millhuff<\/strong> (1:55.62).<\/p>\n

Missouri S&T won the men’s 800 free relay. The team of Kevin McPherson<\/strong> (1:40.86), Jonathan Glaser<\/strong> (1:37.07), Eirik Nielsen<\/strong> (1:38.52) and Keith Sponsler<\/strong> (1:36.61) went a 6:33.06 for the win. UINDY came in second (6:37.39) with Sebastian Konnaris<\/strong> (1:40.04), Marius Bornkessel<\/strong> (1:38.93), Vitor Botana<\/strong> (1:39.32) and Rodrigo Cordo Berti<\/strong> (1:39.10). Truman came in third with the team of Sam Heveroh<\/strong> (1:39.57), Neil Girmus<\/strong> (1:39.59), Will Shanel<\/strong> (1:40.65) and Alec Morgan<\/strong> (1:40.97) for a 6:40.78.<\/p>\n
