It&#8217;s a close meet on the men&#8217;s side with Missouri S&amp;T trailing Drury by only three points. There were also mutliple GLVC records broken.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>In the finals of the women&#8217;s 1000 freestyle Drury&#8217;s Sarah Pullen took the win in a time of 10:07.52. With this time she broke her own 2014 GLVC record of 10:08.35. Maddie Allen from William Jewell came in second (10:12.34) and another Drury swimmer, Megan Ouhl touched third in a 10:14.41.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 200 IM Truman State University&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evyn Spencer<\/strong>\u00a0bested her morning time by over three seconds going a 2:00.95 to take the gold. This time also broke the previous GLVC recocrd of 2:01.50. Drury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gretchen Stein<\/strong>\u00a0sped into second with a 2:02.51 and William Jewell&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Meredith<\/strong>\u00a0finished third with the time of 2:04.01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wen Xu<\/strong>\u00a0from Drury kept her number one spot tonight in the 50 free gong a 23.01. Truman State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nikki Sisson<\/strong>\u00a0took the silver with a 23.51 and <b>Stefanie Haholiades\u00a0<\/b>from UINDY snuck into third place (23.75).<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 yard medley relay Drury&#8217;s team of <strong>Abby Lunzmann<\/strong> (26.71), <strong>Corinne Rinne<\/strong> (29.75), <strong>Vera Johansson<\/strong> (24.18) and Wen Xu (22.56) won the event in a time of 1:43.20. It was a race to the podium for the second and third place teams, however. Truman State&#8217;s team of <strong>Grace Fodor<\/strong> (26.61), <strong>Ally Neumann<\/strong> (29.83), <strong>Libby Opfer<\/strong> (26.09) and <strong>Alison Strickler<\/strong> (23.56) out touched the UINDY team for second (1:46.09). The team of <strong>Malvina Shoukri<\/strong> (26.99), <strong>Michelle Mikaelsson<\/strong> (29.34), <strong>Laura Bem<\/strong> (26.60) and <strong>Stefanie Hahoilades<\/strong> (23.30) touched third (1:46.23).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 1000 free Drury&#8217;s <strong>Alex Reinrecht<\/strong> won the event in the time of 9:14.54. It was a race for second between UINDY and William Jewell. But it was <strong>Vitor Botana<\/strong> from UINDY (9:17.08) that out touched William Jewell&#8217;s <strong>Joao Pedro Granato<\/strong> (9:17.66).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rodrigo Cordo Berti<\/strong>\u00a0(1:48.24) won the men&#8217;s 200 IM for the University of Indianapolis. He also broke the GLVC record by one one hundredth of a second. Berti just out touched Truman&#8217;s Will Shanel who came in second with a 1:48.72. S&amp;T Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eirik Nielsen<\/strong>\u00a0touched the wall third in a time of 1:49.14.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri University of S&amp;T&#8217;s<strong>\u00a0Keith\u00a0<\/strong><b>Sponsor<\/b>\u00a0was just shy of going under 20 seconds in the men&#8217;s 50 freestyle tonight. However with a time of 20.04 he won the event and broke his own 2015 GLVC record of 20.28. Drury placed first and second with\u00a0<strong>Daniel Rzadkowski<\/strong>\u00a0(20.28) coming in second and\u00a0<strong>Rodrigo Caceres<\/strong>\u00a0(20.30) coming in third.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200 medley relay UINDY&#8217;s team swam to the gold breaking their own 2015 GLVC record. The squad of Rodrigo Cordo Berti (22.18), <strong>Bartosz Zarzecki<\/strong> (24.44),<strong> Tyler Coonradt<\/strong> (22.01) and <strong>Marius Bornkessel<\/strong> (20.07) won the event in a 1:28.70. Drury and Missouri S&amp;T battled it out for second. In a time of 1:30.26, the Drury team of <strong>Aidan Glynn<\/strong> (23.49), <strong>Andrea Bazzoli<\/strong> (25.05), <strong>Stanislav Kuzmin<\/strong> (21.62) and Rodrigo Caceres (20.10) came in second. <strong>Ethan Shih<\/strong> (23.69), <strong>Miguel Chavez<\/strong> (24.93), Erik Nielson (21.77) and <strong>Morgan Meyer<\/strong> (20.13) of Missouri S&amp;T came in third (1:30.52)<\/p>\n<p>Men&#8217;s Scores<\/p>\n<p>1.
