Women’s Meet:<\/h2>\n

Washington and Lee started the night in winning fashion, beating their own meet and open record in the 200 medley relay.\u00a0Stephanie Foster<\/strong>,\u00a0Sarah Schaffer<\/strong>,\u00a0Kira Tomenchok<\/strong>, and\u00a0Elle Chancey\u00a0<\/strong>went a 1:45.46, a half second under the NCAA B cut. Emory and Henry’s\u00a0Jessica Richardson<\/strong>,\u00a0Michaela Nolte<\/strong>,\u00a0Claire Goodrum<\/strong>, and\u00a0Taylor Guardalabene\u00a0<\/strong>snagged second (1:47.96). Randolph-Macon was back at 1:51.92 for third, with the team of\u00a0Kata Kylliainen<\/strong>,\u00a0Alexis Campbell<\/strong>,\u00a0Rachel Leigh<\/strong>, and\u00a0Megan Granger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

W&L teammates\u00a0Haylee Rademann\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Emma Swabb\u00a0<\/strong>had a great race in the 400 IM. Rademann lead the entire way, and held on for the win, 4:38.66 to 4:38.88. Guardalabene finished third in a 4:44.83.<\/p>\n

The Generals swept the podium in the 100 butterfly.\u00a0Cassidy Fuller\u00a0<\/strong>lowered her prelims ODAC records, stopping the clock at 56.84 tonight. Tomenchok settled for second in 58.36 while\u00a0Mara Tynan\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (59.15).<\/p>\n

W&L teammates\u00a0Elisabeth Holmes\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Elle Chancey\u00a0<\/strong>swam an intense race in the 200 freestyle. Chancey closed strong, but Holmes\u00a0was first to the wall, breaking her own meet and ODAC record with a final time of 1:52.66, ahead of Chancey’s 1:52.92. Both swimmers slid under the NCAA B cut. Teammate\u00a0Jordan Watson\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (1:56.37).<\/p>\n

Nolte couldn’t quite match her morning speed, but the Wasps’s Junior was still first to the wall in a 1:04.50, for the 100 breaststroke title. Schaffer finished second (1:06.68), while Hollins’\u00a0Claire Webber\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the top three (1:07.31).<\/p>\n

W&L’s\u00a0Emily Rollo\u00a0<\/strong>managed to go even faster tonight, dropping the ODAC records to 55.73 in the 100 backstroke. Teammate\u00a0<\/strong>Stephanie Foster\u00a0<\/strong>was just out touched by E&H’s\u00a0Jessica Richardson\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>58.06 to 58.10.<\/p>\n

Despite not quite repeating their speed from the individual 200s, the Generals ran away with the 800 freestyle relay. Watson, Tynan,\u00a0Abigail Sterns<\/strong>, and Holmes stopped the clock at 7:50.85. The Wasps turned in a second-place 8:02.72 with swims from\u00a0Holly Roth<\/strong>,\u00a0Claire Goodrum<\/strong>,\u00a0Marina Moore<\/strong>, and Guardalabene. The Yellow Jackets rounded out the top three as Kylliainen,\u00a0Mollie Smith<\/strong>,\u00a0Sierra Collins<\/strong>, and Granger recorded an 8:07.21.<\/p>\n

Men’s Meet:<\/h2>\n

Tommy Thetford\u00a0<\/strong>proved that last night’s 18.99 split was not a fluke, clocking a 19.10 on the 200 medley relay tonight. He combined with teammates\u00a0Andrew Botelho<\/strong>,\u00a0Trent Babcock<\/strong>, and\u00a0Thomas Ferguson\u00a0<\/strong>for an ODAC record and NCAA B cut time of 1:31.79. Randolph-Macon was well back in second.\u00a0Ivan Fadeyev<\/strong>,\u00a0Josh Carter<\/strong>,\u00a0Robert Redenz<\/strong>, and\u00a0Mohamed Saleh\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock at 1:36.54.\u00a0Hudson Elmore<\/strong>,\u00a0John Dickerson<\/strong>,\u00a0Conor O’Heir<\/strong>, and\u00a0Ryan Mitchell\u00a0<\/strong>earned third (1:41.24) for Hampden-Sydney.<\/p>\n

Fadeyev came up short of his own record, but still won the Conference Title with a 4:06.46 in the 400 IM.\u00a0Thomas Caldwell<\/strong> finished second (4:08.01) for the Generals, while his freshman teammate\u00a0Austin Jennings\u00a0<\/strong>touched third (4:11.63).<\/p>\n

Noah Schammel\u00a0<\/strong>(50.51),\u00a0Ferguson (50.91), and\u00a0Austin Choi\u00a0<\/strong>(53.05) completed a podium sweep for the Generals in the 100 butterfly. W&L swept the podium again in the 200 freestyle. Thetford decimated his own meet (1:43.62) and open (1:40.29) records, touching the wall in 1:37.76.\u00a0Sam Childress\u00a0<\/strong>was just off the old meet record in 1:43.65, just ahead of teammate\u00a0Corey Connelly\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.70).<\/p>\n

Randolph-Macon’s\u00a0<\/strong>Redenz\u00a0<\/strong>was back to top form tonight, beating his own ODAC records in the 100 breaststroke. The Junior’s 57.54 finished well ahead of teammate\u00a0Carter (59.62) in third and W&L’s Babcock (58.71) in second.<\/p>\n

Saleh was dominant in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 51.45, nearly two seconds ahead of Botelho (53.13). W&L’s\u00a0Patrick Lawrence\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (54.00).<\/p>\n

In the 800 freestyle relay, W&L put together a team of Connelly, Caldwell,\u00a0Thomas Agostini<\/strong>, and Childress to finish in 7:00.71. The Yellow Jackets’ Redenz,\u00a0Carter, Fadeyev, and\u00a0Daniel Whitehead\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 7:12.53 for second. Third went to Hampden-Sydney’s Elmore, O’Heir, Dickerson, and Mitchell (7:49.65).<\/p>\n
