The Big Red men built a slightly larger lead over the Lords after an incredibly close 800 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>Denison started the night with a solid victory in the 200 medley relay.\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Kane<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marissa Bednarek<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashley Yearwood<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Mary Van Leuven\u00a0<\/strong>went a 1:42.50. Kenyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Foley<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Julia Wilson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Laura Duncan\u00a0<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Hannah Lobb\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:43.18 for second. DePauw&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Annie Graves<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mary Woods<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Angela Newlon<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Caroline Bridges\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a third place 1:45.62.<\/p>\n<p>Kenyon freshman\u00a0<strong>Marysol Arce\u00a0<\/strong>was just off her morning pool record, but still won the Conference Title in the 400 IM (4:23.95). Newlon touched second (4:26.73).\u00a0<strong>Mariah Williamson\u00a0<\/strong>was third for Kenyon (4:27.48).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carolyn Kane <\/strong>of Denison\u00a0was first to the wall in the 100 butterfly (56.23), though Kenyon claimed the next five places.\u00a0<strong>Haley Townsend\u00a0<\/strong>(56.91) finished in a second place, B cut time. Teammate\u00a0<strong>Natalie Parker\u00a0<\/strong>was third (57.20).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abby Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>captured the 200 freestyle title for the Ladies (1:50.10). Teammate\u00a0<strong>Hannah Orbach-Mandel\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (1:51.39).\u00a0<strong>Campbell Costley\u00a0<\/strong>was second for Denison (1:50.73).<\/p>\n<p>Wilson\u00a0couldn&#8217;t match her morning swim, but still won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:02.54. Teammate\u00a0<strong>Katie Kaestner\u00a0<\/strong>claimed second (1:03.70). Bednarek touched third (1:03.73).<\/p>\n<p>Yearwood was victorious in the 100 backstroke (56.48), leading a trio of NCAA B cuts. Kenyon freshmen\u00a0<strong>Abby Chopp\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Abby Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>were second and third in times of 56.78 and 56.95.<\/p>\n<p>The Ladies wrapped up a great evening with a win in the 800 freestyle relay. Orbach-Mandel,\u00a0<strong>Delaney Ambrosen<\/strong>, Abby Wilson, and\u00a0<strong>Esraa Abdel Khalik\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a pool and meet record 7:26.31. This all freshmen relay has the potential to develop into something incredible over their time at Kenyon. Denison&#8217;s Costley,\u00a0<strong>Alex Elizeus<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kate Wright<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Taylor Johns\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 7:29.58, good for second. Oberlin claimed third (7:45.02) with the team of\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Falk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Maddie Prangley<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nora Cooper<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Samma Regan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>Denison opened the night with a win, in an effort to stay ahead of the Kenyon Lords.\u00a0<strong>Jason Wesseling<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brendan Howley<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Andrew Rich<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Conrad Wuorinen\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:29.97 to take the 200 medley. Kenyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Cooper<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Danny Jurgens<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Christian Josephson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Ryan Funk\u00a0<\/strong>were right behind (1:30.13) for second. DePauw&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Blake Lehmann\u00a0<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sam McManus<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brandon Sholtis\u00a0<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Matt Oonk\u00a0<\/strong>clocked in at 1:31.22 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Denison&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Lindell\u00a0<\/strong>(3:54.31) finished just shy of the meet record to win the 400 IM. Teammate\u00a0<strong>Mitch Williams\u00a0<\/strong>touched third (4:00.15). Lords&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Matt Leenhouts\u00a0<\/strong>finished second (3:57.54).<\/p>\n<p>Rich set the meet and pool records in the 100 butterfly, finishing in a time of 48.13. Lehmann finished second (48.85) while Josephson rounded out the top three (48.89).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 freestyle title went to Kenyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joey Duronio\u00a0<\/strong>(1:38.68), though the Big Red grabbed the next three spots.\u00a0<strong>Joe Brunk\u00a0<\/strong>was second (1:39.21) and\u00a0<strong>Ryan Fleming\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (1:39.55).<\/p>\n<p>Wabash senior\u00a0<strong>Zechariah Banks\u00a0<\/strong>held on for the win in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in a 55.35. McManus finished runner-up (56.04), while Kenyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Austin Pu\u00a0<\/strong>earned third (57.08).<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 backstroke, Big Red&#8217;s\u00a0Wesseling\u00a0won the championship with a 49.85. Lords teammates Cooper (50.38) and\u00a0<strong>Oscar Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(50.43) were second and third.<\/p>\n<p>The 800 freestyle relay was decided by two hundredths.\u00a0<strong>Stuart Hohm\u00a0<\/strong>(1:40.04),\u00a0<strong>Ryan Fleming (1:38.97),\u00a0<\/strong>Ryan Stevenson\u00a0(1:39.75), and Brunk (1:38.54) grabbed first (6:37.30). Kenyon&#8217;s Leenhouts (1:39.74), Duronio (1:39.08).\u00a0<strong>Ambery Sawaya\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.98), and\u00a0<strong>Alex Seaver\u00a0<\/strong>(1:38.52) settled for second (6:37.32).
