{"id":183315,"date":"2016-02-06T12:22:12","date_gmt":"2016-02-06T19:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=183315"},"modified":"2016-02-06T12:39:30","modified_gmt":"2016-02-06T19:39:30","slug":"183315-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/183315-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 3 Prelims of Northeast 10 Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Delaney Lanker, Swimming World College Intern<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It was a morning of close swims and competition as the race was on for swimmer&#8217;s to get their hand on the wall in the top three on day three prelims of the Northeast 10 Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The morning started with the women&#8217;s 400 IM. Last night&#8217;s 200 IM winner, <strong>Niamh Morgan<\/strong> from Assumption came in first this morning with the time of 4:33.08. Bentley took the second and third place spots with <strong>Emily Niemiec<\/strong> (4:36.08) coming in second and <strong>Kate Kaduboski<\/strong> (4:37.24) finishing third.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 400 IM, SCSU&#8217;s <strong>Raymond Cswerko<\/strong> (4:08.52) finished in first; Cswerko won the 200 IM finals last night as well. It was a tie for the second place seed between Le Moyne&#8217;s <strong>Tim Buff<\/strong> (4:09.44) and <strong>Brandon Beaudoin<\/strong> (4:09.44) of SCSU.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The SCSU women are going into tonight seeded first and second in the 100 butterfly. <strong>Emily Wolfe<\/strong> touched in at a 57.50 for first and <strong>Aubrey Bailey<\/strong> came in second with a 58.02. <strong>Victoria Weber<\/strong> from Assumption finished right behind Bailey with a 58.06.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was a tight race in the men&#8217;s 100 butterfly this morning. But going into finals tonight it will be Le Moyne&#8217;s <strong>Travis May<\/strong> with the top time of 50.16. PACE freshman <strong>Andrew Cyprianos<\/strong>, came in second (50.70) and a few hundredths after him <strong>Daniel\u00a0Tarbrake<\/strong> of Le Moyne finished third (50.78).<\/p>\n<p>Last night&#8217;s 50 freestyle winner <strong>Katie Crochet<\/strong>, came in first this morning in the 200 freestyle in the time of 1:53.05. Assumption freshman <strong>Shannon Quirk<\/strong> (1:55.22) came in second and Bentley&#8217;s <strong>Kaitlin McGahie<\/strong> (1:55.39) finished behind in a close third.<\/p>\n<p>The top 4 men all went 1:42 in the 200 freestyle this morning. Last night&#8217;s 50 free winner SCSU&#8217;s <strong>Brendan Murphy<\/strong> came in first in the time of 1:42.06. On his toes was teammate <strong>Tyler Vander Vos<\/strong> (1:42.24) and Le Moyne&#8217;s <strong>Andy Raiola<\/strong> (1:42.46) who came in third.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Rose&#8217;s <strong>Shannon Walsh<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke with a 1:06.33. It was another fight for the second place seed between Le Moyne and Saint Michael&#8217;s. <strong>Kelsey Smith<\/strong> of Le Moyne came in second with a 1:07.18 and St. Michael senior, <strong>Julie Shea<\/strong> touched third in a 1:07.54.<\/p>\n<p>The top 3 of the men&#8217;s 100 breast all were under 58 seconds. Saint Rose&#8217;s <strong>Elie McRae<\/strong> is coming into tonight seeded first with a 57.12. PACE took second and third place with <strong>Travis Monahan<\/strong> going a 57.54 and <strong>Liu\u00a0Nianzhong<\/strong> went a 57.57.<\/p>\n<p>In the final event of the morning Le Moyne senior <strong>Tara O&#8217;Donnell<\/strong> finished with the fastest time in the 100 back, going a 57.46.
