Duke, NC State, North Carolina, James Madison, Towson, William and Mary, and Virginia Tech were in attendance.\u00a0The meet was not scored.<\/p>\n<h2>Day One<\/h2>\n<p>North Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zhada Fields<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 500 free, and\u00a0NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>John Poff<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s event (4:24.90).\u00a0The Tar Heels went 1-2-3 in the women&#8217;s 200 IM, led by\u00a0<strong>Rachel Canty<\/strong> (2:00.19). NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Geoffrey Carter<\/strong> took the men&#8217;s 200 IM (1:48.93).<\/p>\n<p>Duke&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kathryn Eckhart<\/strong> touched the wall first in the women&#8217;s 50 free (23.08), and the Tar Heel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>James Casey<\/strong> (20.52) just out touched the Blue Devils&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Benedict Parfit<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 50 free.<\/p>\n<p>Friday finals results: <a href=\"\/results\/2016-carolina-college-invite-friday-pm\/ncaa-college\/2016\/February\/5\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Carolina College Invite Friday PM &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Day Two<\/h2>\n<p>North Carolina&#8217;s<strong> Kendall Surhoff<\/strong>\u00a0(4:16.39) and\u00a0<strong>Luke Lechner<\/strong>\u00a0(3:52.46) both dominated the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 400 IM, respectively, each winning by over four seconds.<\/p>\n<p>NC State took the top two spots in the women&#8217;s 100 fly, led by\u00a0<strong>Natalie Labonge\u00a0<\/strong>(52.47) who also broke the Wolfpack&#8217;s program record. NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jon Burkett\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s event (46.63), and later won the men&#8217;s 100 back (47.48).<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zhada Fields<\/strong> was the only swimmer\u00a0under 1:50 in the women&#8217;s 200 free (1:46.92), winning my nearly four seconds. Duke&#8217;s <strong>Alex Pena<\/strong>\u00a0(1:38.82) just out touched NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Scott Johnson<\/strong> (1:38.86) in the men&#8217;s 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>The Wolfpack men went 1-2-3 in the men&#8217;s 100 breast, led by\u00a0Carter (54.55).\u00a0Canty won the women&#8217;s event (1:00.93), and NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Estep\u00a0<\/strong>touched first in the women&#8217;s 100 back (54.84).<\/p>\n<p>Saturday finals results: <a href=\"\/results\/2016-carolina-college-invite-saturday-pm\/ncaa-college\/2016\/February\/6\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Carolina College Invite Saturday PM &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Day Three<\/h2>\n<p>NC State took the top two spots in both the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 1650.\u00a0<strong>Allie Fogleman\u00a0<\/strong>(16:34.30) narrowly beat teammate\u00a0<strong>Anna Jahns\u00a0<\/strong>(16:34.77), while\u00a0<strong>Mason Revis<\/strong> (15:29.62) won the men&#8217;s event over teammate Poff (15:39.39).<\/p>\n<p>Estep was the only person under 2:00 in the women&#8217;s 200 back, winning with a time of 1:58.61.\u00a0NC State&#8217;s <strong>Parker Campbell<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200 back (1:46.74).<\/p>\n<p>Eckhart won the women&#8217;s 100 free (50.14) to follow up her win in the 50 free on Friday. North Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christian Caveness\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 100 free\u00a0(44.91) to Duke&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adriann Venter<\/strong> (44.92).<\/p>\n<p>Canty won her third event of the weekend, claiming the women&#8217;s 200 breast (2:12.23) by over five seconds. Carter also won his third individual event, taking first in the men&#8217;s 200 breast (1:59.76).<\/p>\n<p>The Tar Heels swept the women&#8217;s 200 fly, led by\u00a0<strong>Andi Mack<\/strong>\u00a0(1:59.93). North Carolina continued their butterfly dominance as\u00a0<strong>Thomas Bilden\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 200 fly (1:48.48).<\/p>\n<p>Sunday finals results: <a href=\"\/results\/2016-carolina-college-invite-sunday-pm\/ncaa-college\/2016\/February\/7\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Carolina College Invite Sunday PM &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Duke, NC State, and North Carolina will face off again next at the 2016 ACC Championships in Greensboro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chandler Brandes, ACC Beat Writer The annual Carolina College Invitational was Feb. 5-7 in Chapel Hill.
