PHOENIX, Arizona, June 10. RACE footage of a new world record and an American record in two different races highlight Tuesday’s edition of The Morning Swim Show.<\/p>\n
Host Peter Busch talks about the world record set in the men’s 200 breast by Kosuke Kitajima as well as the American record set by Natalie Coughlin in the 200 IM. Footage of both races is included in this show.<\/p>\n
Footage from Swimnetwork of an interview with Michael Phelps is also featured in the show. Phelps talks about the tough finish he had in the men’s 100 fly at the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational, even though he posted the fastest time in the world this year.<\/p>\n
In Reaction Time, Busch talks to Ous Mellouli, who will swim for Tunisia at the Olympics. Mellouli swam a new U.S. Open record in the 800 free at the Janet Evans Invitational, which was held a few weeks after the end of his 18-month suspension from competition after testing positive for a banned substance that he proved was not taken to enhance performance.<\/p>\n
Mellouli also talks about not being able to compete for 18 months and how he was able to continue training during the suspension. He also said his times from last weekend boosted his confidence as he tries to get on the medal stand in Beijing.<\/p>\n
