The Utah men were clipped by a score of 159-141, while the women fell to Denver in a score of 185-115.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet:<\/h2>\n<p>The Utah men started off the meet strong with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay. A team of\u00a0<strong>Paul Ungur, Jack Burton, Kristian Kron<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Sean Bloore<\/strong> touched with a 1:30.79, just about a second behind the Denver team. The senior Kron then followed up with a second place finish in the 1000 free (9:26.21) and was followed by sophomore teammate\u00a0<strong>Peter Kotson<\/strong> (9:37.25). The freshman\u00a0<strong>Daniel McArthur\u00a0<\/strong>had the Utes&#8217; highest finish in the 200 free with fourth (1:42.46), while the sophomore Ungur was first in the 100 back (48.63).<\/p>\n<p>Junior Keanu Interone&#8217;s 57.02 was good enough for second place in the 100 breast, while sophomore\u00a0<strong>Ben Scott\u00a0<\/strong>and junior\u00a0<strong>Luis Macias Padilla\u00a0<\/strong>were second and third in the 200 fly, going 1:51.72 and 1;52.01 respectively. The sophomore Bloore also grabbed a second place finish with a 21.01 in the 50 free. He followed up that performance with a third place finish in the 100 free (46.45). Kron and McArthur went on to take second and third in the 200 back with 1:48.43 and 1:51.43, respectively. Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Ganem Tebet Baez\u00a0<\/strong>was second in the 200 breast (2:05.89) and was followed by junior teammate\u00a0<strong>Nolan Rogers<\/strong> for third (2:06.11). Koston posted a 4:35.69 in the 500, good enough for second place.<\/p>\n<p>Ungur grabbed a second victory when he won the 100 fly (49.35) and was followed by a Kron&#8217;s victory in the 200 IM (1:51.99). McArthur was second in the event with a 1:52.79, while Rogers competed the sweep with a 1:53.23, good enough for third. A team of Ungur, Bloore,\u00a0<strong>Kristian Almberg<\/strong>, and McArthur finished the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay (3:05.50).<\/p>\n<p>Senior diver\u00a0<strong>Jake Crayne\u00a0<\/strong>was first on both boards, but the Utes ultimately fell to the Hilltoppers.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Meet:<\/h2>\n<p>The Utah women did not have quite as much success against Denver as the men did, but the effort was there, especially from the younger members of the team.<\/p>\n<p>The meet began with a strong second place in the 200 medley relay from a team of\u00a0<strong>Megan Kawaguchi, Genevieve Robertson, Jenna Marsh,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Gillian St. John<\/strong> (1:44.02). Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Kat Wickam<\/strong> had the top finish in the 1000 free, her 10:46.98 good enough for fifth, while fellow sophomore\u00a0<strong>Dorien Butter\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed second in the 200 free (1:53.38). The sophomore Kawaguchi also nabbed a second place finish in the 100 back (56.14). The freshman Robertson was second in the 100 breast (1:04.14) and was followed by senior teammate\u00a0<strong>Stina Colleou<\/strong> (1:04.91). Freshman\u00a0<strong>Jordan Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>and sophomore\u00a0<strong>Isabella Kearns<\/strong> went 2-3 in the 200 fly, with 2:05.36 and 2:05.77, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The freshman Gillian St. John was the highest Ute in the 50 free, with a 23.91. St. John was then second in the 100 free (52.00), just four one-hundredths behind her teammate Butter (51.96). Kawaguchi grabbed another second place finish with her 2:04.88 in the 200 back, while Robertson took the win in the 200 breast (2:16.22). Anderson then posted the third fastest time in the 500 with a 5:08.34.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman\u00a0<strong>Darby Wayner<\/strong> was third in the 100 fly (57.97), while junior teammate\u00a0<strong>Brianna Francis\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed third in the 200 IM (2:06.34). A team of\u00a0<strong>Jenna Marsh,\u00a0<\/strong>St. John,\u00a0Wayner, and Butter closed the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay (3:28.74).
