The No.1 Bulldogs defeated No. 17\u00a0Wisconsin\u00a0172-123 for their 100th straight win at home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;The motivation of the winning streak is a big deal to our kids,&#8221; Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle\u00a0said in a press release before the meet. &#8220;We don&#8217;t have to say too much to get them fired up, especially our seniors who don&#8217;t want it to end on their watch. We&#8217;re all excited about this opportunity.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Bulldog women are now 9-0 on the season.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 4 Georgia men also picked up a victory. The\u00a0Bulldogs knocked off the No. 17 Badgers by a score of 172-122.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs\u00a0started off strong, winning the women&#8217;s 200-yard medley relay by almost a second. Backstroker\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga,\u00a0<\/strong>breaststroker\u00a0<strong>Emily Cameron,\u00a0<\/strong>butterflier\u00a0<strong>Kylie Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>and freestyler\u00a0<strong>Meaghan Raab\u00a0<\/strong>posted a time of 1:40.10.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia won the men&#8217;s race by over two seconds. The winning team of backstroker\u00a0<strong>Taylor Dale,\u00a0<\/strong>breaststroker\u00a0<strong>Gunnar Bentz,\u00a0<\/strong>butterflier\u00a0<strong>Pace Clark\u00a0<\/strong>and freestyler\u00a0<strong>Michael Trice\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:27.07.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brittany MacLean\u00a0<\/strong>had a dominant day for Georgia in middle and long distance freestyle events. MacLean took first in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:37.31), 200-yard freestyle (1:48.15) and 500-yard freestyle (4:47.37).\u00a0<strong>Hali Flickinger\u00a0<\/strong>also had a big day for the Bulldogs. She finished first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.18) and 100-yard butterfly (53.82) and placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:41.87).<\/p>\n<p>Dale and\u00a0<strong>Ty Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>led the way for the Georgia men. After helping the Bulldogs to a win in the 200-yard medley relay, Dale placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (47.55) and 200-yard backstroke (1:45.24). Stewart took first in both the 200-yard butterfly (1:45.60) and 100-yard butterfly (47.93).<\/p>\n<p>The day ended with the 400-yard freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia swam its relays as exhibition teams, giving Wisconsin the automatic victory in both races.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s race, the Bulldogs would have won with a time of 3:20.36. Wisconsin finished just after in 3:20.53.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia posted the fastest time in the men&#8217;s race, touching in 2:56.16.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Winning 100 consecutive meets at home is a funny feeling,&#8221; Bauerle said in a post-meet press release. &#8220;I feel like I\u2019ve seen part of my life flash before my eyes. It\u2019s a little bit a feeling of relief, but mostly appreciation.
