The Hurricanes defeated the Panthers 205-95.<\/p>\n<p>Miami began the meet by winning the 200 medley relay (1:43.86). They swept the 200 free, led by\u00a0<strong>Ianire Casarin\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.12), and\u00a0the 100 free, led by\u00a0<strong>Julie Suarez\u00a0<\/strong>(50.59)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christina Leander<\/strong>\u00a0was a triple event winner. Leander won the 100 back (55.00),\u00a0200 back (2:00.50), and led Miami&#8217;s sweep of the 200 IM (2:05.58).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julia Schippert\u00a0<\/strong>won both the 100 breast (1:05.25) and 200 breast (2:18.95), while teammate\u00a0<strong>Angela Algee\u00a0<\/strong>won both the 100 fly (54.58) and 200 fly (2:00.18).<\/p>\n<p>Miami swept the 3m diving event, won by\u00a0<strong>Marcela Maric\u00a0<\/strong>(341.55), who also placed second in the 1m (288.95).\u00a0<strong>C<\/strong><strong>arolyn Chaney\u00a0<\/strong>won the 1m (293.25) and took second in the 3m (310.55).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the ACC Championships draw closer, certainly the team is getting that much more amped up and honing in on all the little things,\u201d head coach\u00a0<strong>Andy Kershaw<\/strong> said in a Miami press release. \u201cAfter the last meet, we talked about everybody committing to do even a better job at focusing in on all the fine details both in the pool and out of the pool \u2013 nutrition, rest, hydration, and all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miami competes next at the ACC Championships in Greensboro.<\/p>\n<p>Full meet results: <a href=\"\/results\/2016-miami-vs-fiu\/ncaa-college\/2016\/January\/30\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Miami vs FIU &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chandler Brandes, ACC Beat Writer Miami travelled up the road on Saturday to compete against Florida International in their final dual meet of the season.
