SWIMMING Canada announced its coaching staff nomination for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.  <\/p>\n<p>Canada 27-member team will be led by National Coach Pierre Lafontaine, Head Coach Tom Johnson, as well as six coaches, Jozsef Nagy (Vancouver), Jan Bidrman (Calgary), Randy Bennett (Victoria), Paul Midgley (London), Benoit Lebrun (Montreal) and Claude St-Jean (Montreal).<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We are truly grateful to have such an extensive group of talented coaches to support our Olympic team as we head to Beijing,&quot; said Pierre Lafontaine, CEO\/National Coach for Swimming Canada.  &quot;These coaches have demonstrated great dedication to the sport of swimming in Canada and the performances of their athletes have earned them a spot on this amazing team.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#39;s Olympic Swim team will meet for the first after the CN Swimming Trials at the end of May.  The team will compete in a Beijing simulated environment with morning finals during the Bell Grand Prix from May 22-25, followed by a five day training camp.<\/p>\n<p>A special ceremonial diner for the team entitled &quot;A night of Dreams&quot; will be hosted at the Pan Pacific Hotel on Wednesday the 28th.
