Ursinus got off to a quick start sweeping the 400 medley relay. The team of\u00a0<strong>Peyton Lyons<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Tierney<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Clara Baker<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Corinne Capodanno<\/strong> touched first (4:01.80).<\/p>\n<p>Ursinus won most of the rest of the afternoon&#8217;s events as well. Capodanno won a close 200 freestyle with her time of 1:57.12. Later in the meet, she also claimed the 500 freestyle (5:14.67). Her teammate Lyons stopped the clock at 1:00.01 to win the 100 backstroke and went on to win the 200 backstroke (2:10.40). Tierney was first to the wall in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.75) and the 200 breaststroke (2:30.25). Her teammate <strong>Katherine Porter\u00a0<\/strong>was the winner of the 200 butterfly (2:12.86). Baker sprinted to a win in the 50 freestyle (25.44) and the 100 butterfly (58.30). In the 100 freestyle,\u00a0<strong>Syndey Gundersen\u00a0<\/strong>touched the wall at 54.35, to win by nearly two seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Washington College won three\u00a0events on the afternoon.\u00a0<strong>Julia Portman\u00a0<\/strong>topped the 1000 freestyle (11:08.85). After Ursinus went exhibition, Washington junior\u00a0<strong>Ellen Maxwell\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the 200 IM win (2:22.41). The team of Portman,\u00a0<strong>Katie Gorman<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Gaze<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jenni Clune\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.99).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/h2>\n<p>The 23rd ranked Washington College men topped conference rival Ursinus by a score of 150 to 112 Saturday afternoon. Washington set the tone early, as the team of\u00a0<strong>Pat Elliott<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lucas\u00a0Morgan<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Seth Wrigley<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kevin Mackenzie<\/strong> won the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:35.87.<\/p>\n<p>On the whole, the men&#8217;s meet was a more even match up. Ursinus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Marcus Wagner\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the 1000, just dipping under the ten minute barrier (9:59.01). In the next event, Washington&#8217;s Elliott fired back, stopping the clock at 1:47.63 to win the 200 freestyle. The Bear&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Benn\u00a0<\/strong>touched first in the 100 backstroke (53.95). He went on to win the 200 (2:00.92) as well.<\/p>\n<p>After his relay win, Lucas claimed two individual titles, stopping the clock at 1:00.38 in the 100 breaststroke. Later in the meet he also took the 200 (2:10.82). Teammate\u00a0<strong>Tyler Cummings\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 and 200 butterfly events in times of 53.29 and 1:59.51. He also touched first in the 200 IM (2:04.73). Washington swimmers won both sprint freestyles.\u00a0<strong>Cody Weiler\u00a0<\/strong>was first in the 50 (22.17) and Mackenzie stopped the clock at 49.76 in the 100. Elliot claimed a close 500 freestyle with his time of 4:46.70.<\/p>\n<p>Ursinus did not go down without a fight.
