A number of schools will celebrate their seniors in the final dual meet of the season as conference championships are quickly approaching.<\/p>\n<h2>NCAA Featured Meets<\/h2>\n<h2>1. Washington College vs. Ursinus<\/h2>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s action features a Centennial Conference match up. The Washington College men and women are currently ranked 23rd. The Ursinus College women are just ahead with a 19th placed ranking. In the women&#8217;s 200 free Ursinus senior\u00a0<strong>Corinne Capodanno\u00a0<\/strong>has posted a season best 1:53.90. Washington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Portman\u00a0<\/strong>will be right on her heels (1:54.23). While Ursinus junior\u00a0<strong>Peyton Lyons\u00a0<\/strong>has posted the nation&#8217;s 10th fastest 100 backstroke (56.60) her teammates <strong>Micaela Lyons\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.61),\u00a0<strong>Alli Hemp\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.48), and\u00a0<strong>Samantha Kegel\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.22)\u00a0should be a good match for Washington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ellen Maxwell\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.92).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 freestyle should also be a great race in men&#8217;s action. Washington College&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Mercando\u00a0<\/strong>has swum a 1:48.88 and Ursinus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Marcus Wagner<\/strong> posted a 1:47.08 earlier this season. Washington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lucan Morgan\u00a0<\/strong>(4:56.46) should be chasing Ursinus&#8217; Wagner (4:46.22), <strong>Dylan<\/strong> <strong>Cooper<\/strong> (4:51.07) and <strong>Kevin<\/strong> <strong>Gill<\/strong> (4:54.19) in the 500 freestyle. The meet should be great preparation for both teams, just three weeks away from the Centennial Conference Championship.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Connecticut College vs. Bates vs. Wellesley<\/h2>\n<p>The currently 25th ranked Connecticut College men will travel to Wellesley to face Bates on Saturday. The 15th ranked Bates women will race NESCAC rival Connecticut and the unranked, but recently quick, Wellesley Blue.<\/p>\n<p>Bates&#8217; top 50 freestyler is\u00a0<strong>Logan McGill\u00a0<\/strong>(52.60), and she is followed by teammate\u00a0<strong>Sara Daher\u00a0<\/strong>(54.27). Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Pierce <\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0Shannon Cry<\/strong> have\u00a0posted 53.10 and 53.34 respectively. Wellesley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cathy Chen\u00a0<\/strong>should also be in the race with her top time of 54.07. The Blue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dorothy Ren\u00a0<\/strong>has posted a 57.78 100 backstroke. Daher (58.39) and Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Danielle Fergus\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.69) are a bit behind.\u00a0Bates senior <strong>Lindsey Prelgovisk<\/strong> has been dominant in the butterfly events this season, posting a 56.59 100 butterfly. Ren (57.24) and Pierce (58.29) will be in pursuit.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s events, Bates&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Riley Ewing\u00a0<\/strong>has posted a 51.94 100 butterfly, just ahead of Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Trebor Lawton\u00a0<\/strong>(52.52). In the 200 IM, Conn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alan Pite\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.57)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>George Tilneac\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.19)\u00a0lead the way with Bates&#8217; Ewing (1:57.16) and\u00a0<strong>Alex Bednard\u00a0<\/strong>(1:58.42) ready to race. The sprinters should be close as well. Bates&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Theodore Pender\u00a0<\/strong>has posted a 21.59 50 freestyle while Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Fothergill\u00a0<\/strong>(21.70) and\u00a0Tilneac (21.73) should make things exciting.<\/p>\n<h2>3. NYU vs. West Chester<\/h2>\n<p>After snow made travel impossible last weekend, the number seven NYU men and number six women will compete at Division 2 West Chester this Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>NYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elise Gibbs\u00a0<\/strong>holds Division 3&#8217;s 5th fastest 50 freestyle (23.38), though West Chester&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan Haney\u00a0<\/strong>has swum a 23.91. Both teams have seen a woman break the five minute barrier in the 500 freestyle. NYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Haley Wen\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 4:58.40 in December, just behind West Chester&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tess Hayward\u00a0<\/strong>(4:55.35).\u00a0The Violets&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Timothy Kou\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.93) will have multiple West Chester men to race in the 200 freestyle.\u00a0<strong>Victor Polyakov\u00a0<\/strong>(1:36.60),\u00a0<strong>Bradley Strathmeyer<\/strong> (1:38.95), and\u00a0<strong>Dan Sokman\u00a0<\/strong>(1:40.64) are all in his range.
