{"id":179864,"date":"2016-01-25T15:08:31","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T22:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=179864"},"modified":"2016-01-25T15:24:32","modified_gmt":"2016-01-25T22:24:32","slug":"179864-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/179864-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Fitter and Faster Swim Tour Extends Sponsorship of Age Group Coach of the Year Through 2021!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swimmingcoach.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Swimming Coaches Association<\/a> is proud to announce that<a href=\"https:\/\/fitterandfaster.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Fitter and Faster Tour, LLC<\/a>, has extended its sponsorship of the award known as \u201c<strong><em>The Fitter and Faster Tour, American Swimming Coaches Association Age Group Coach of the Year Award<\/em><\/strong>\u201d through the 2021 ASCA World Clinic Awards Banquet, where Fitter and Faster is also one of the sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Fitter and Faster is a great partner for the ASCA for this award because of their commitment to age group coaching and swimmers, as well as world-class performers<\/em>\u201d said ASCA Executive Director <strong>John Leonard<\/strong>.\u201d<em>For the past two years Fitter and Faster has helped us honor the top ten age group coaches selected by the Association and helped us name Coach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/north-baltimore-aquatic-clubs-tom-himes-named-age-group-coach-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Himes<\/a><\/strong> (NBAC) in 2015 and Coach<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dynamo-swim-clubs-beth-winkowski-wins-fitter-fasterasca-age-group-coach-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beth Winkowski<\/a><\/strong> (Dynamo Swim Club) in 2014, as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/vote-for-the-age-group-swim-coach-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fitter and Faster Tour, ASCA Coach of the Year<\/a>.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cThese great coaches, along with 25 others, have been honored, thanks to Fitter and Faster\u201d. <\/em><\/strong>Leonard continued\u2026<em>\u201dAge Group Coaches are the backbone of our sport and bring the benefits of a lifetime of fitness and life skills to hundreds of thousands of young athletes each year<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The award process is begun in the early spring of each year as candidates are suggested and voted on my swimmers, parents and coaches across the country as part of the selection process. Access to voting is through the Fitter and Faster website, <strong>\u201cThe Fitter and Faster Tour, ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year<\/strong>\u201d will be presented this year at the <a href=\"https:\/\/swimmingcoach.org\/portfolio\/2016-asca-world-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\">ASCA World Clinic<\/a> Awards Dinner on Thursday Evening, Sept. 8, 2016 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel.
