IN September, the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) will meet in Las Vegas for its annual conference. In an exclusive <i>Swimming World Radio<\/i> interview found on page 39 of the April issue of <i>Swimming World<\/i>, ASCA Executive Director John Leonard talks about what people can expect in this year&#39;s event. He mentions the educational opportunities that always bring hundreds to the clinics put on by top coaches and swimming officials\u2014not only in the United States but around the world.<\/p>\n<p>From Level 1 coaching foundations to the Level 4 and 5 leadership courses, coaches can get a half-day or full-day class on the topics they need to advance their knowledge of coaching and further their certification.<\/p>\n<p>The certification process is the cornerstone of any coach&#39;s resume, and Leonard breaks down what a certification means for a coach seeking employment.
