She\u00a0reportedly cut herself while using a knife. The injury forced her to withdraw from next week&#8217;s\u00a0Victorian Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The Brisbane native underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair the muscle.<\/p>\n<p>Palmer is expected to miss two to three weeks of training. With Australian Olympic Trials looming, this is a tough challenge for the 25-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2008 Olympics, Palmer helped Australia to a gold medal in the 800-meter freestyle relay. She swam on the same relay\u00a0at the 2012 Olympics in\u00a0London, earning a silver. She is also a three time silver medalist at the long-course World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Palmer has been in the Australian news for out of the pool issues.
