In Wednesday&#8217;s newest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tyr-cscaa-ncaa-division-ii-division-iii-rankings-released\/\">CSCAA rankings<\/a>, the Bears are 12th and Wabash is no longer ranked.<\/p>\n<p>Diving was the highlight of Wabash&#8217;s day as\u00a0<strong>Max Von Deylen\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the one meter with 245.95 points and his teammate\u00a0<strong>Aaron Embree\u00a0<\/strong>topped the three meter board with a score of 253.75.\u00a0<strong>Elliot Johns\u00a0<\/strong>was Wabash&#8217;s only swimmer to post a top time, as he claimed the 200 freestyle (1:44.94).<\/p>\n<p>Once Wash U went exhibition at the end of the meet, Wabash&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zechariah Banks\u00a0<\/strong>earned first place points in the 200 IM in a time of 1:59.48. Wabash&#8217;s\u00a0200 freestyle relay team of\u00a0<strong>Wyatt Tarter<\/strong>,\u00a0Johns,\u00a0<strong>Dylan Miller<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Christopher McGue<\/strong> claimed first in a time of\u00a01:27.74.<\/p>\n<p>On the way to their win, Wash U saw two swimmers post double victories.\u00a0<strong>Justin Morrell\u00a0<\/strong>won both sprint events. He finished the 50 in 21.74 seconds while his teammate\u00a0<strong>Ross Brown\u00a0<\/strong>was third in a 22.13. Wabash&#8217;s Johns was second (21.79). Morrell claimed\u00a0the 100 in a 47.34 while teammate Brown was again second, this time in a 48.32. Johns rounded out the top three (48.45).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Lagieski\u00a0<\/strong>topped both breaststroke events. He finished the 100 in a time of 57.28, just\u00a0ahead of Bancks (58.01) and\u00a0<strong>Reese Frerichs\u00a0<\/strong>(59.04). The 200 breaststroke was even closer as Lagieski touched in a 2:09.23 and Bancks finished in a 2:09.55.<\/p>\n<p>Other winners for the Bears were\u00a0<strong>Jason Hsu\u00a0<\/strong>in the 200 butterfly (1:55.47),\u00a0<strong>RJ Petrella\u00a0<\/strong>in the 200 backstroke (1:58.17), <strong>Luke Dobben\u00a0<\/strong>in the 500 freestyle (4:45.38), <strong>Kevin Van Cleave\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 backstroke (53.77), and\u00a0<strong>Andrew Ellison\u00a0<\/strong>in the 1000 (9:57.81).<\/p>\n<p>Washington University finished the afternoon with 182 points to Wabash&#8217;s 111.<\/p>\n<p>Full results are available here-\u00a0<a href=\"\/results\/2016-wabash-vs-wash-u-dual\/ncaa-college\/2016\/January\/16\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Wabash vs. Wash U Dual &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After defeating Illinois Wesleyan last night, Wabash fell to Washington University St. Louis this afternoon.
