The Pitt women defeated West Virginia 188-111, their fourth consecutive win against the Mountaineers. On the men&#8217;s side, Pitt fell to WVU 180.5-119.5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pitt won both the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay over West Virginia. <strong>Amanda Richey<\/strong> was a triple-event winner, claiming first in\u00a0the 1000 (10:08.35), 200 back (2:03.14), and 500 free (5:01.71). <strong>Leticia Lelli<\/strong> won the 200 free (1:52.86) and 100 fly (56.84). <strong>Kinga Cichowska <\/strong>was another double-event winner for Pitt as she won the 100 breast (1:03.39) and 200 breast (2:17.52). <strong>Meme Sharp <\/strong>dove to first place in the 1m with a score of 278.62 Other event winners for Pitt included <strong>Emily Murphy<\/strong> in the 100 free (51.95) and <strong>Hannah Wittman <\/strong>in the 200 IM (2:05.67).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur women totally dominated West Virginia,\u201d said head coach <strong>Chuck Knoles<\/strong> in a Pitt press release.\u00a0\u201cWe won 12 events, going 1-2 in the women\u2019s 1000 and 200 free, 100 and 200 breast, 500 free and 200 IM. We looked very sharp today on the women\u2019s side in swimming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Panther men only won four individual events of the meet. <strong>Aaron Sett<\/strong> won the 1000 in 9:26.10 and <strong>Spencer Gray<\/strong> won the 500 free in 4:36.55. The Panthers went 1-2 in both diving events, as <strong>Dominic Giordano<\/strong> won the 3m (373.35)\u00a0and 1m (365.25) with teammate <strong>Tony Galante<\/strong> placing second.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe meet was disappointing on the men\u2019s side for swimming,\u201d said Knoles in the press release. \u201cThe Mountaineer men thoroughly controlled the swimming. We looked a little lack luster except for the distance events.
