Whereas FSU competed against Florida last weekend, this was Louisville\u2019s first meet in the new year. On the men\u2019s side, the Cards defeated the Seminoles 203-150. The Louisville women won with 238 points to Florida State\u2019s 115.<\/p>\n<p>The first day of competition at the Bobby E. Leach Center began with with the 200 free relay. On the women\u2019s side, Louisville\u2019s team of <strong>Andrea Kneppers, Kelsi Worrell, Mallory Comerford, <\/strong>and <strong>Andrea Cottrell<\/strong> won in 1:32.29. Florida State\u2019s team of <strong>Jason McCormick, Kanoa Kaleoaloha, Chad Mylin, <\/strong>and <strong>Ian Apple <\/strong>won the men\u2019s event in 1:20.59.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville went 1-2-3 in the women\u2019s 200 IM, with freshman <strong>Rachael Bradford-Feldman<\/strong> winning in 2:02.56. The Cards also grabbed the top three spots in the men\u2019s 200 IM, led by Nolan Tesone in 1:47.46.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville swept the top three again in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 500 freestyle. Comerford won in 4:51.44 for the women, and <strong>Trevor Carroll<\/strong> won in 4:34.53 for the men.<\/p>\n<p>Cottrell won the women\u2019s 100 breast in 1:02.76. for the Cards. <strong>Jason Coombs<\/strong> won FSU\u2019s first individual event of the meet in the 100 breast with a time of 55.13.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville\u2019s <strong>Ashely LeClair<\/strong> was the only female under 2:00 in the 200 back, winning in a time of 1:59.57. <strong>Grigory Tarasevich <\/strong>touched the wall first for the Cards in the men\u2019s 200 back in 1:45.01.<\/p>\n<p>The Cards took first in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 100 free. Worrell won in 49.52, and Carroll won in 45.05.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abbie Houck<\/strong> of Louisville took the women\u2019s 200 fly in 2:00.5. <strong>Cole Hensley<\/strong> won the men\u2019s event in 1:47.42 for the Seminoles.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State took first in both of day one\u2019s diving events. <strong>Cassidy Gebhart<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 3m with a score of 310.65, and <strong>Tyler Roberge<\/strong> dove to first place in the men\u2019s 1m with a 330.82.<\/p>\n<p>Day one concluded with a very exciting 400 medley relay. The Louisville women\u2019s team of <strong>Alina Kendzior, <\/strong>Cottrell, Worrell, and Comerford won in 3:41.04, about four seconds ahead of FSU. On the men\u2019s side, Florida State\u2019s team of <strong>Noah Henley, <\/strong>Coombs, Hensley, and McCormick won in 3:14.79, defeating Louisville\u2019s 3:14.96. McCormick anchored in 43.55, which would have won the men\u2019s 100 free by 1.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Day two started with the Cards winning both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 200 medley relay. The women\u2019s team of Kendzior, Cottrell, Worrell, and Kneppers won in 1:41.30. The men\u2019s team of\u00a0Tarasevich, <strong>Carlos Claverie, Josh Quallen,<\/strong> and <strong>David Boland<\/strong> won in 1:27.99.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State\u2019s <strong>Summer Finke<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 1000 free in 10:02.06. Louisville\u2019s <strong>Zach Harting <\/strong>took the men\u2019s race in 9:32.08.<\/p>\n<p>Comerford took the women\u2019s 50 free in 23.54, and Carroll won his third individual event by winning the men\u2019s 50 free in 20.38.<\/p>\n<p>Kendzior won the women\u2019s 100 back in 55.5, and Tarasevich won the men\u2019s race in 48.02.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville again won both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s 200 breast. <strong>Manuela Sampaio <\/strong>touched the wall in 2:21.27 for the women, and Claverie won in 1:58.86 for the men.<\/p>\n<p>100 fly National champion Worrell easily won the women\u2019s 100 fly in 53.46. FSU\u2019s Hensley won the men\u2019s 100 fly in 48.78.<\/p>\n<p>Comerford won her third individual event of the meet by winning the women\u2019s 200 free in 1:49.03. <strong>Matthias Lindenbauer<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 200 free for the Cards in 1:38.37.<\/p>\n<p>Bradford-Feldman won the women\u2019s 400 IM in 4:16.39, seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Tesone won for the men in 3:51.74.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrea Acquista<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 1m diving event for the Cards with a 282.00. <strong>Dylan Grisell<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 3m for the Seminoles with a 376.65.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville took the top spots in the 400 free relay. The women won in 3:22.41, and the men won in 2:58.50.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought we took another step in the right direction,\u201d FSU Head Coach <strong>Frank Bradley<\/strong> said in a Florida State press release. \u201cWe started off flat and couldn\u2019t shift gears, but we had a great week of training and Louisville has some great swimmers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Louisville returns to action January 23 as they take on Kentucky.
