The meet was close on the men\u2019s side as the No. 22 ranked Blue Devil men defeated the No. 19 Gamecocks 154-146.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, Duke won with 187 points to South Carolina\u2019s 113. With this win, Duke remains undefeated in dual meet action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mack Willborn<\/strong> was the top female Duke diver of the meet. She registered a third place showing in the women\u2019s 3m (271.73) and dove to second place in the 1m event (312.83). <strong>Josh Owsiany <\/strong>was the top male Duke diver, placing second in both the 3m (378.38) and the 1m (315.45).<\/p>\n<p>The swimming portion of the meet opened up with the 200 medley relay, where the team of <strong>Mickayla Hinkle, Leah Goldman, Isabella Paez, <\/strong>and <strong>Maddie Hess<\/strong> won in 1:41.47. Duke\u2019s B relay placed second in 1:42.15. The Blue Devil men\u2019s relay of <strong>Kazumu Takabayashi, Peter Kropp, David Armstrong, <\/strong>and <strong>James Peek <\/strong>won in 1:27.77 to South Carolina\u2019s 1:30.60.<\/p>\n<p>Hinkle and Hess led the women\u2019s team with two individual wins. Hinkle won both the 100 back (55.69) and 200 back (2:01.20), and Hess dominated the 200 free (1:51.18) and 100 fly (54.73).<\/p>\n<p>Takabayashi won two individual events for the Blue Devils. He touched the wall first in the 100 back (49.05) and 100 fly (49.14).<\/p>\n<p>The Duke women dominated the 200 fly. Goldman won in 2:01.17, followed by teammates <strong>Anna Quinn<\/strong> (2:02.33) and<strong> Brittany Friese <\/strong>(2:02.71). Goldman also placed second in the 200 back (2:02.40).<\/p>\n<p>Duke went 1-2-3 in the men\u2019s 50 free. Peek won in 20.14, followed by Armstrong (20.82) and <strong>Sean Tate<\/strong> (21.23). Peek later won the 100 free in 44.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maddie Rusch <\/strong>and <strong>Chelsea Ye<\/strong> went 1-2 in both the 50 and 100 freestyles. Rusch won the 50 in 23.53 to Ye\u2019s 23.95. Ye won the 100 in 52.06, out-touching Rusch by .01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bradley Cline<\/strong> was the only male under 1:50 in the 200 back. He won in 1:49.94. <strong>Ashleigh Shanley<\/strong> won the 100 breast in 1:03.51 and placed third in the 200 breast in 2:19.62. <strong>Verity Abel<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 500 free in 4:55.54. She also placed second in the 1000 free (9:59.17).<\/p>\n<p>The meet concluded with another exciting relay. Both the Duke men\u2019s and women\u2019s A and B relays went 1-2 in the 400 freestyle relay. Rusch, Hess, Ye, and Goldman combined to win the women\u2019s event in 3:25.16, while Armstrong, <strong>Dylan Payne,<\/strong> <strong>Michael Seaburg,<\/strong> and Peek won the men\u2019s event in 2:59.91.<\/p>\n<p>Duke returns to the pool as they take on Indiana, Michigan, and ACC rival Georgia Tech on January 16.<\/p>\n<p>Full meet results: <a href=\"\/results\/duke-v-south-carolina\/ncaa-college\/2016\/January\/8\" target=\"_blank\">Duke v.
