PASADENA, Calif., September 3. HEY,not too much has happened since my last entry. I had my last hard workout yesterday (Saturday). There wasn't much going on yesterday after workout, so Erik Vendt and I went down to L.A. to see our teammates at USC. I met my roommate for next year and all the other freshman guys. NBC will be at USC during the Olympics taping them watching us swim. That should be interesting to watch when I get home.<\/p>\n
Today we are leaving for the airport for the long plane ride to Australia. We had to pack our bags today and it took me about an hour since all my clothes were scattered throughout the whole room. <\/p>\n
Little Tommy Malchow has been packed since we got here. He is way more organized than I am. I left my laundry at the cleaners, and now I am hoping that it can be shipped to the Olympic Village in time. There is one more loosen up swim in Pasadena before we leave. I'm not looking forward to flying so long: hopefully I can sleep through a good portion of it. <\/p>\n
We are all going to coat the insides of our noses with a healthy layer of vaseline for the flight–that is one of the tips the doctors are giving us to cope with the lack of humidity on the plane during the long flight. <\/p>\n
Well, checkout from our hotel is in about fifteen minutes so I must end this exciting entry. I will leave you on the edge of your keyboards until sometime next week. <\/p>\n
