The Case Western and Rochester women faced off in Del Ray Beach, Florida.\u00a0The training trip meet was exhibition, and results are unavailable.<\/h3>\n<h3>2. The\u00a0Kenyon, Washington (MO) and Coast Guard Academy men raced in a\u00a0training trip\u00a0meet, with no results available.<\/h3>\n<h3>3. WPI and Pomona-Pitzer went head to head\u00a0on Tuesday, and the host Pomona-Pitzer won the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s meets.<\/h3>\n<p>On the women&#8217;s side, the\u00a0Sagehens won 11 of the 12 contested events. <strong>Vee Vanderpoel<\/strong> lead a sweep of the 1,000 with her time of 10:58.40. <strong>Cayla Nishizaki<\/strong> claimed the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:02.35. She also went on to win the 50 freestyle with a 25.13.<\/p>\n<p>Pomona-Pitzer also swept the 100 backstroke, lead by freshman <strong>Sarah Jin<\/strong>, in a time of 59.32. Jin also topped the 200 backstroke by nearly four seconds with a time of 2:11.67. The freshman&#8217;s third win of the day came in the 200 IM when she swam a 2:17.52.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman\u00a0<strong>Erin Bigus\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the 100 breaststroke in a 1:23.30 and the 200 in a 2:32.93. <strong>Kara Miller-Radest<\/strong> had a dominating performance in the 200 butterfly, wining the event with a 2:13.21. The sophomore also claimed the sprint butterfly finishing in 1:01.67. Pomona-Pitzer claimed first through fifth in the 100 freestyle as\u00a0<strong>Madison Kauahi\u00a0<\/strong>won the event with a 53.81.<\/p>\n<p>WPI&#8217;s sole win of the day came from\u00a0<strong>Jenny Day\u00a0<\/strong>who won the 500 freestyle by just under a second in a time of 5:19.14.<\/p>\n<p>Pomona Pitzer won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:53.71 and the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:41.23.\u00a0<strong>Dawn Barlow<\/strong> won the 1 meter diving with a score of 239.40. Stephanie<strong> Merchant<\/strong> was the sole 3 meter diver with a score of 153.75.<\/p>\n<p>The WPI women finished with a final score of 61 while Pomona-Pitzer totaled 223 points.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s meet was much closer with Pomona-Pitzer finishing with 174 points to WPI&#8217;s 114. Pomona-Pitzer divers started the meet with a sweep as <strong>Jeremy Goldberg<\/strong> claimed the 1 meter board with a score of 180.75. He later claimed the 3 meter with a score of 186.38.<\/p>\n<p>WPI out touched Pomona-Pitzer for the 200 medley relay win with a time of 1:35.58. Pomona-Pitzer freshman <strong>Jack Swanson<\/strong> dominated the 1000 freestyle by 25 seconds, finishing in a time of 10:06.76. He also won the 500 with a 4:54.01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Bauer\u00a0<\/strong>switched the momentum, claiming the 200 freestyle for WPI in a time of 1:44.28. The Sagehens&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Samuel To<\/strong>\u00a0then topped the 100 backstroke in a 53.86.<\/p>\n<p>WPI claimed two events in a row as\u00a0<strong>Tim Petri\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 59.71 in the 100 breaststroke and\u00a0<strong>Seth MacDonald\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the 200 butterfly with a 1:57.63. He also finished the meet&#8217;s individual races with a win in the 200 IM with his time of 1:59.19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adrian Hu\u00a0<\/strong>raced to a 21.56 for the 50 freestyle win. His Pomona-Pitzer teammate <strong>Mark Hallman\u00a0<\/strong>took the 100 in a 48.47. Another Sagehen freshman,\u00a0<strong>Erik Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 backstroke in a 1:56.76. A fourth freshman, <strong>Teddy Koerner<\/strong>\u00a0won a close 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:11.24.<\/p>\n<p>WPI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Bauer\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 butterfly with a 52.27.
