SwimmingWorld.com during the May-June time period this past year.\u00a0During the next few days, we&#8217;ll take a look back in &#8220;Splashbacks&#8221;, the most read stories of 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, two of the top stories in the sport all year also took place. \u00a0Phelps&#8217; coach <strong>Bob Bowman<\/strong> continued to champion the cause of swimmers being much more aware of Shallow Water Blackout, having lost swimmer <strong>Louis Lowenthal<\/strong> at NBAC in 2012 when he stayed after practice to put in some extra work and wound up drowning.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>Schuyler Bailar<\/strong> broke the story with <em>Swimming World<\/em> that he would be the first openly transgender NCAA Division 1
