IN the midst of re-writing three school records and penning in two new conference records, the No. 11-ranked University of Michigan women&#39;s swimming and diving team leads the pack with 182 points after the first day of competition (Thursday, Feb. 21) at the 2008 Big Ten Conference Championships, held at the Ohio State&#39;s McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>Junior Emily Brunemann (Crescent Springs, Ky.\/Notre Dame Academy) and sophomore Margaret Kelly (Ann Arbor, Mich.\/Pioneer) claimed Big Ten titles in the 500-yard freestyle (4:39.60 prelim\/4:40.32 final) and 200-yard individual medley (1:56.84), respectively , erasing conference and school records in the process. <\/p>\n<p>Michigan added automatic qualifying times for the 400-yard medley relay &#8212;  which was led off by an NCAA \u2018A&#39; time on the 100-yard backstroke of junior Hannah Smith (Dexter, Mich.\/Dexter) &#8212; and 200-yard freestyle relay.
