THE University of New Hampshire women broke two America East records on day one of the 2010 Swimming and Diving Championship to capture the top spot in the women's field. The Boston University men claimed two titles and 122 points to lead the men's competition.<\/p>\n
The Wildcat women and the Retriever men claimed the first medals of the meet, setting new pool and America East records in the 4×800 free relays. The New Hampshire women won with a time of 7:21.11 while the UMBC men placed first in 6:37.08.<\/p>\n
Junior Tanner Knorr (San Diego, Calif.\/Valhalla) claimed the Terrier men's first victory, placing first in the one-meter dive. He won with a score of 564.50.<\/p>\n
The Wildcat women ended the meet with another record-breaking victory, touching first in the 200 medley relay in 1:42.06. Their time set a new pool and America East championship record. The Boston U. men also captured a second medal on day one, finishing first in the men's 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n
