JUNE 30, 2015\u2026that&#39;s the day Michael Phelps promised he would retire from the sport of swimming and give the rest of the world a break, at least if you believe Phelps in an article on <b>SI.com<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the article, when asked whether Phelps would attempt to make the 2024 Olympics in a similar bid as 41-year-old Dara Torres is attempting this year for the 2008 Beijing Games, Phelps stated he&#39;s not swimming &quot;a day past the age of 30.
