ACCORDING to reports out of Great Britain, including an article from <i>BBC Sport<\/i>, Australian Michael Scott, 51, has been named as the replacement for Bill Sweetenham as the head man in charge of British Swimming.<\/p>\n<p>Scott, a former director of the Australian Institute of Sport, had joined British Swimming as a high performance consultant last October.  Now, he has earned the top coaching spot in the organization.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We&#39;re delighted Michael can stay through to the Olympic Games,&quot; British Swimming Chief Executive David Sparkes told <i>BBC Sport<\/i>. &quot;We&#39;re all very excited about Michael&#39;s blueprint for the future, as it will see a significant change in gear, and this will be unveiled to the British Swimming board in a few weeks.
