MEET Cullen Jones, member of the world record 400 meter freestyle relay team and one of the USA&#39;s medal hopefuls at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. <\/p>\n<p>Jones was ranked No. 1 in the world in the 50 meter free in 2006. Currently, he is ranked third with a best time of 21.82. Recently, Jones sat down for an exclusive SwimmingWorld.TV interview and talked about how he became involved in the sport and his career to date as seen on page 47 of the December issue of <i>Swimming World<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Jones does not have the prototypical swimmer&#39;s story to tell. He has dealt with adversity, life losses as well as numerous other challenges outside of the pool. His interest in swimming came after pursuing the sport of gymnastics. In this case, gymnastics&#39; loss was definitely swimming&#39;s gain.<\/p>\n<p>Watch and listen as Jones talks about the most important person and biggest inspiration in his life.
