Indie Swimming\u2019s <\/span>Michael Andrew<\/b> continued to impress on Friday night. The 16-year-old competed at the 2015 Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships (West) in Austin, Texas. <\/span><\/p>\n

On the third night of the meet, Andrew set two 15-16 National Age Group records. He set his first record of the night in the 100-yard butterfly. <\/span><\/p>\n

Oddly enough, Andrew\u2019s evening swim was the third time the 100-yard butterfly record fell on Friday. Andrew\u2019s preliminary time of 46.34 broke his previous record of 46.36. Then, in Friday\u2019s finals of the East Jr. National Championships, <\/span>Camden Murphy<\/b> lowered the record to 46.25. <\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew made sure Murphy\u2019s record did not last long. In finals in Austin, Andrew broke Murphy\u2019s record, posting a time of 46.23.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew finished in second place in the event behind <\/span>Ryan Hoffer<\/b>. <\/span>Jack Xie <\/b>took third.<\/span><\/p>\n
