{"id":163123,"date":"2015-12-07T13:43:26","date_gmt":"2015-12-07T20:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=163123"},"modified":"2015-12-07T13:43:26","modified_gmt":"2015-12-07T20:43:26","slug":"southeast-asian-age-group-swimming-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/southeast-asian-age-group-swimming-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships Day 2<\/strong><br \/>\nBISP swimmers claim 2nd Championship Record, 3 Golds and 1 Bronze on second day of competition at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Age Group Swimming Championships, being held in Danang, Vietnam from 4-6 December.<\/p>\n<p>Racing for Malaysia, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bisphuket.ac.th\/bisp-jsa-swim-academy\/\" target=\"_blank\">BISP JSA Swim Academy<\/a> swimmer <strong>Wong Fu Kang<\/strong> won the 100m Breaststroke in a new record time of 64.12, with teammate and Singaporean <strong>Chantal Liew<\/strong> winning the Women&#8217;s 200m Backstroke in a time of 2mins 23.67.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the Gold medal performances was BISP&#8217;s <strong>Nicholle Toh<\/strong>, who teamed up with her fellow Singaporeans in the 4x100m Medley to win Gold, adding to her Bronze medal winning performance in the 50m Butterfly earlier in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Squad members <strong>Raine Gavino<\/strong> (Philippines) swam the 100m Brst in a 1min 16.24, dropping to 1min 15 in the relay; <strong>Jeremy Lim<\/strong> swam a 26.40 50m Fly in the individual, then posting a 56.00 100 Fly in the relay for Team Philippines; while compatriot <strong>Courtney Gray<\/strong> raced to a 2min 29.57 in the 200m Back, rounding out this morning&#8217;s races.<\/p>\n<p>BISP JSA Swim Academy Head Coach <strong>Simon Jones<\/strong> said, \u201cTomorrow is the final day of racing, and again a packed line up of events for our swimmers. All the best team, keep getting stronger!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships Day 3<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter the third and final day of racing at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Age Group Swimming Championships, held in Danang, Vietnam from 4-6 December, BISP swimmers set 2 Southeast Asian (SEA) Age Group Championship Records and won 7 Golds, 5 silvers and 1 bronze medal.<\/p>\n<p>The final day of the SEA Age Championships saw \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bisphuket.ac.th\/bisp-jsa-swim-academy\/\" target=\"_blank\">BISP JSA Swim Academy<\/a> swimmers <strong>Chantal Liew<\/strong>, <strong>Nicholle Toh<\/strong> and <strong>Wong Fu Kang<\/strong> add 2 more Golds and 2 Silvers to the team&#8217;s medal haul.<\/p>\n<p>Chantal Liew (Singapore) took the individual Gold in the Girls 50m Back in a time of 30.69, with Nicholle Toh racing to Gold also for Team Singapore in the Mixed 4x200m Free relay.
