The No. 7 Texas A&M women wrapped up the first half of their season against the Rice Owls on Saturday. The Aggies won the meet 160-100. <\/span><\/p>\n

The day started with the 200-yard medley relay. The Aggies won with a time of 1:42.89. Their team consisted of <\/span>Beryl Gastaldello, Jorie Caneta, Sarah Gibson <\/b>and <\/span>Lexie Lupton. <\/b><\/p>\n

In the 1000-yard freestyle, the Aggies\u2019 <\/span>Colleen Konetzke <\/b>brought home the win with a time of 10:07.47, nearly three seconds ahead of Rice\u2019s <\/span>Hanna Huston. <\/b><\/p>\n

Gibson picked up another victory in the 200-yard freestyle. The junior posted a time of 1:50.63.<\/p>\n

Gastaldello also won a second event: the 100-yard backstroke. Gastaldello touched in at 56.31. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Texas A&M roll continued in the the 100-yard breaststroke. Caneta followed her teammates Gibson and Gastaldello in earning a second victory on the day. The freshman posted a time of 1:03.89.<\/p>\n

Tiffany Futscher <\/b>picked up the win for the Aggies in the 200-yard butterfly. The 17-year-old freshman touched the wall in 2:05.35. <\/span><\/p>\n

After helping the Aggies\u2019 200-yard medley relay to a first place finish, Lupton won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.46. <\/span><\/p>\n

Gastaldello won her third event of the day in the 100-yard freestyle. The sophomore won in 51.28. <\/span><\/p>\n

Lisa Bratton <\/b>picked up another win for the Aggies. She won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:00.42. Texas A&M\u2019s <\/span>Esther Gonzalez Medina <\/b>won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:17.38.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gibson earned her third victory of the meet in the 500-yard freestyle. She won by almost seven seconds with a time of 4:58.33. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Rice Owls picked up their first win of the day in the 100-yard butterfly. <\/span>Kiley Beall <\/b>won the event in 56.77. An Owl swimmer also finished first in the 400-yard individual medley. <\/span>Kaitlyn Swinney <\/b>won in 4:19.86. <\/span><\/p>\n

The day finished up with the 200-yard freestyle relay. Rice won the event in 1:35.96. <\/span><\/p>\n
